¡¡Hola a mis amigos amantes de la comida rica!!

Hace días mi novio y yo volvimos a visitar nuestro restaurante favorito (Paparazzi) y en esta oportunidad decidimos atrevernos a salir de los platos que solemos pedir con frecuencia allí e intentar probar algo nuevo.

Después de una larga revisión al menú, decidimos pedir unas fajitas mexicanas mixtas (de carne y pollo) y como pensábamos que tal vez no sería suficiente adicionalmente decidimos también pedir un plato de papas fritas con queso cheddar y tocineta.

Llegó nuestra comida y mi primera impresión fue "oh, por dios, estas fajitas nos son como yo las he comido anteriormente, no se parecen en nada 🙈🙈". Las fajitas mexicanas es un plato de comida que a mí me gusta muchísimo y suelo pedirlo cuando estoy visitando algún restaurante mexicano, como ya les mencioné, esta fue la primera vez que las decidimos probar en paparazzi.

Normalmente, el plato está constituido por cuatro o seis tortillas de maíz y una tabla donde viene la carne picada en tiritas preparada con pimentones y cebolla en un sartencito, dentro de la misma tabla otros acompañantes para completar la fajita que normalmente son: guacamole, crema de frijoles o caraotas, queso amarillo y pico de gallo.

Cuando vi la tabla de fajitas que me trajeron en este restaurante era visualmente distinta a lo que estoy acostumbrada a ver en este platillo, las fajitas de paparazzi vienen con su respectivo queso amarillo y pico de gallo, pero en vez de guacamole y crema de frijoles, trajo lechuga picada y una crema como de queso con ajo, ver todo eso creo bastante incertidumbre en mí.

Sin embargo, tratando de controlar mi ansiedad y confiada en el chef de paparazzi decidí armarla con todo lo que me pusieron en mi tabla.

Al preparar mi fajita con todos los contornos que trajo y probar el primer bocado, toda la incertidumbre se fue a un lado de inmediato, el sabor de la carne y todos sus acompañantes aun cuando no eran los tradicionales estaban ESPECTACULARES y desde el primer bocado recordé porque soy fan de este restaurante.

Esta noche definitivamente estuvo llena de sorpresas y no todas tan agradables como la que nos llevamos con las fajitas.

Por primera vez, después de años comiendo donde personalmente opino que es uno de los mejores restaurantes de mi ciudad, me lleve una decepción y es que las papitas que pedimos como adicional a nuestro plato de fajitas no estaban tan ricas como siempre 😔😔 tenían como rato de haber estado cocinadas, no estaban tan crocantes como siempre, algunas papas incluso estaban quemadas y la verdad es que admito que la combinación de fajitas con estas papas de tocineta con queso cheddar no fue la mejor combinación, eso sí fue un error nuestro de elección.

Sin duda algo en particular tuvo que haber ocurrido para que hubiese ese fallo con las papas, porque de resto paparazzi nunca nos deja mal, la verdad yo volver siempre que pueda allí y seguiré probando su menú y todo lo nuevo que ofrezcan.

Hello my food loving friends!!

A few days ago my boyfriend and I revisited our favorite restaurant (Paparazzi) and this time we decided to dare to leave the dishes that we often order there and try something new.

After a long review of the menu, we decided to order some mixed Mexican fajitas (beef and chicken) and since we thought that perhaps it would not be enough, we also decided to order a plate of fries with cheddar cheese and bacon.

Our food arrived and my first impression was 'oh my god, these fajitas are not like I've eaten them before, they look nothing alike 🙈🙈'. Mexican fajitas is a food dish that I really like and I usually order it when I'm visiting a Mexican restaurant, as I already mentioned, this was the first time we decided to try them on paparazzi.

Normally, the dish is made up of four or six corn tortillas and a table where the minced meat comes in strips prepared with peppers and onion in a little pan, within the same table other companions to complete the fajita that are normally: guacamole, cream of beans or caraotas, yellow cheese and pico de gallo.

When I saw the table of fajitas that they brought me in this restaurant, it was visually different from what I am used to seeing in this dish, the paparazzi fajitas come with their respective yellow cheese and pico de gallo, but instead of guacamole and cream of beans , brought chopped lettuce and a cream like cheese with garlic, seeing all that created a lot of uncertainty in me.

However, trying to control my anxiety and trusting the paparazzi chef, I decided to put together everything they put on my table.

When preparing my fajita with all the contours that it brought and trying the first bite, all the uncertainty went to one side immediately, the flavor of the meat and all its companions, even when they were not the traditional ones, were SPECTACULAR and from the first bite I remembered because I am a fan of this restaurant.

This night was definitely full of surprises and not all of them as pleasant as the one we got with the fajitas.

For the first time, after years eating where I personally think it is one of the best restaurants in my city, I was disappointed and that is that the chips we ordered as an addition to our plate of fajitas were not as tasty as usual 😔😔 they had as a while after they were cooked, they were not as crisp as usual, some fries were even burnt and the truth is that I admit that the combination of fajitas with these bacon fries with cheddar cheese was not the best combination, that was a mistake of ours choice.

Undoubtedly, something in particular had to have happened for there to be that mistake with the potatoes, because the rest of the paparazzi never let us down, the truth is that I will return there whenever I can and I will continue trying their menu and everything new that they offer.
