When I read the Topic 1 for weekend engagement this week

Name three things you currently have that you cannot live without. Explain what they are, why you can't live without them and what negative impact their loss would bring. Computers and phones are excluded from this question.

I asked myself if there can be any item in anyone's life without which life becomes impossible. Life goes on without items. We l adapt to live without them. However, there can be certain items without which life becomes quite difficult. There are such items in my life as well.

The first item that came to my mind was my mobile. Hehe. Because it is something that has opened ways for me to attain financial autonomy which in turn has brought so many other pluses in my life; but as we can see the mobiles and laptops are excluded. Sir @galenkp was already aware of this answer from everyone so he declared the exclusion of them. So here comes the list of those 3 items.

ITEM NO.1

I am a person who is crazy about tidiness and organization. Untidiness and disorganization affects me negatively to the extent of clinical depression. Yes, that's the case with me. Living in an untidy environment is sure to draw me mad. It irritates and frustrates a lot affecting my relationships with my family.

Managing a good deal of belongings in smaller spaces is not easy. When you have more belongings than the space to occupy them, you need some organizers to do the job of holding your stuff smartly in smaller spaces. In addition to it, your management and organizing skills matter.

I have one room for the family of four members (husband, wife and two kids) and I have to accommodate everything in it. To maintain the tidiness in my room there is one item that performs the wonder. The item is my cupboard

It carries for me what a store room would carry for others. It is like a magical bag in which things go in and in and it retains them. My cupboard carries dresses from casual to formal, from fancier ones to the normal ones. It also carries the school bags of my kids and the hand bags and clutches of mine. There is a compartment dedicated to our shoes and sandals along with shoe brush and polish. One of its compartment keeps ironed dresses for my whole family. In another compartment are my 17 bedsheets along with pillow, cushion covers, and towels. Another compartment is filled with toys. There is another compartment dedicated to bakery and confectionery items along with packets of juices and milk. Oh, a drawer carries documents and extra stationary. In another drawer, there is a range of medicinal syrups (a parent of small kids cannot live without them, you know). There is another drawer with photo albums and some extra spectacles. My laptop is also in my cupboard, and my paintings too.

It is not just the cupboard within that performs the magical duty for me but the roof of the cupboard also serves me sincerely. There is a suitcase over it in which I have some extra dresses. There is a tool kit on the roof. Some blubs and other miscellaneous items are present on the roof.

The story doesn't end here. I have some space below the cupboard as well. That space also has an impact on making my room tidy. I keep the brooms under it. The bats of my sons are also kept there.
Huuuuuuuuh…….! Just imagine for a while all of the above mentioned items spread across the room. My room would have no space to sit. Ohhh! It won't even be eligible to be called a bed room . It would be a messy scrap room.

I cannot dare to imagine a life without my cupboard. If only my cupboard is removed from my life, no one can stop me from becoming mad. I would be yelling, screaming and perhaps scratching my hair.

ITEM NO. 2

For a stay at home mother and a house wife kitchen and its items are of immense importance. There are certain items without which working becomes terribly hard. One of such items for me is the blender and dry mill machine.

The type of food we eat needs onion, garlic, ginger, tomato and other items in pasted or powdered form. So this blender and dry mill machine is a need of almost every day.

The presence of machine in my life saves a lot of time that I can spend on some other useful and important tasks.
Without this machine I would have to use mortal and pestle to make the pastes and powders. It would not only be time taking but also tiring.

The impact of this much time consumption in these kind of tasks would result in making me less productive. I would no longer be able manage with my online activities any more (as I already find me in a tight schedule). No online activity means no earning, no financial autonomy. So you can imagine how important this small product is for me.

ITEM NO.3

This last item is something many others can relate to (I think so). After every hour or so, if there is something that you have to rush for: It's time for bed, it's time to get up, it's time for preparing school, it's time for picking from school, it's time for lunch, it's time for dinner, it's time to teach, it's time to cook, it's time for taking screens back from your kids, it's time for bla bla bla……

When someone has this many responsibilities that one is supposed to perform at specific time, what is the thing that one should be in dire need for? It is something that would keep one alert about the next task. It would keep one informed about how far or near the next task is, and so how quickly one should be done with the current task at the hand. Such an amazing item is nothing but a Wall Clock. Not any clock but the Wall Clock

20220307_115403.jpg

A slight movement of head or cornea easily tells us the time from a wall clock while your hands are busy performing some other task. When there is a wall clock, there is no need to stop your hands to check the time. Believe me, sometimes, you cannot afford to waste even a second. It's the very time the worth of a wall clock can be realized.

In my daily routine, my eyes visit this simple yet amazing machine every now and then. It helps keeping up my pace and punctuality.

If the needles of the wall clock stop moving, I literally feels like I have a limb missing. My eyes are so habitual of looking towards the clock that they keep on visiting it unintentionally even after knowing that it has stopped working. It creates a hype of irritation when I look at the clock just to figure out that the time in it has frozen. That's why I am the first person in the home to change the cells of the clock.

These are the 3 items without which I think my life would be terribly disturbed. I would become much lesser productive and certainly be depressed.
What about you, dear readers? Are there any such items in your life?

I tend to agree that one cannot do without a wall clock. Sometimes I tend to tailor my daily activites by looking at a clock

Seriously, without a wall clock the day feels like in space, doesn't it?

Concerning item no1 I myself I hate when stuffs are not well set.
Or roughly packed, whenever I see such I get frustrated. That way I also got myself wardrobe for clothes and shoe racks for shoes.. With other arrangements in placed..
Without those, I don't think I can also cope in a small environment.

So you can understand quite well the importance of item 1 in my life. If I didn't have this cupboard, I would have gone mad.
