How ypu explained the sensation of your shoemaking work place, I can imagine how fulfilling the experience of going back would be.
Sometimes, taking reak is important and help us grow. When we take shift from a work we come to know about many other things. We find the new realms. We even find hidden talents within us. As in your case, your hive journey let you explore that you were not not skilled at shoe making but there is also a hidden writer within. It is a step towards self actualization.
Your hive journey has been so successful that there is no point of feeling regretful for taking a break from shoemaking. Now when ypu have returned, I am sure you would find a balance and keep on giving us some wonderful shoe designs.

Yeah taking a break can help one discover parts of themselves they never knew existed.
Of course I will. I just made one right now which I'm planning to share, though I don't feel it's all too wonderful.
