Oh! The Nose

Nose is one of the most prominent feature of a person’s face. I don’t know about other cultures but in my culture this part of the body is given quite much importance. When a kid is born, the remarks are sure to be passed about the kid's nose. There are certain kinds of nose I have identified by hearing these remarks: wide nose, standing nose, chickpea-like nose, pakora (copper) nose, pointed nose, parrot-like nose etc. (as I may miss some names 🥱). Not only different names to noses are given but old wise women also have some tips and tricks to mould the nose of kids according to one’s own desire; like press it from here, push it from there. After listening such comments and suggestions the kid would want to tell the people to keep their nose to themselves. Who the hell asked them to poke their nose in his/her matter.

Again, I don’t know about other cultures but in my society people often have big nose that keeps on sticking into others matter. I seriously wonder how people have enough energy and time to interfere in the matters that they have no concern with. While their own important matters are out of control and their own lives are full of mistakes they do not avoid rubbing other’s nose. My advice to them is to keep their hands clean. If someone has got some catarrh in one’s nose, their hand would be affected.

Some of the big nose people think they have a nose for everything. They would be providing you solution for literally everything: from the tips for happy married life to the cure for incurable diseases. I wonder why their own marriages are problematic and their own knee pain has not been treated yet 🤔.

While people’s big nose is troublesome for others, my case is reverse. My nose is literally big (long and straight). I know it is a sign of beauty. In fact, I once got a compliment about my nose that it is the most attractive feature of my face. Well, it is not the attractiveness and pettiness that my nose gives me but it also provides me the facility to detect the temperature of surroundings. “The winter is near," my nose informs me when the winter just gets ready to come. How? It gets cold and remains cold. No other part of the body feels the need to be warmed but the nose.

While there is a way to cover other body parts like head, ears and necks, I wish their might be some woollen cap available for nose. During cold weather I desperately want my nose to be covered. I feel like there is an ice cube placed on my face instead of the nose😵‍💫. I have sinusitis issue and this continuous coldness of the nose worsen the condition. Consequently, headache develops. Terrible pain throughout winter, Aaaah Would anyone with a big nose like to provide me some solution? 😉

●●●●●●●

P.S. In this article, some idioms about nose are used. They are written in bold. For those, who use English as the second language it is sometimes difficult to understand idioms and thus the content. Here is the link where you can find the explanation.

Lol... I was wondering where you were going with this issue about the sizes of nose until I got to this point 😂

So the size of nose relates to how much they poke them into people's matter huh? So funny but could be true.

I wish I had a big nose, would have helped with a solution but nope! 😅

I love this POST so much. All part of our body is important. Without 👃 nose we can't breathe. And if we don't breathe, we're dead. Thanks so much for this write up
