I Love Your Presence

When I came here, I heard of your diligence, but I was not ready to get you in my life because I was always afraid one’s of your kind. I thought I couldn’t go well with you. However, there came a day when I dared to add to my life. You entered my life as a Personal Assistant. I witnessed your responsible behaviour from day one. Initially, I gave you lesser tasks to do. You did them on time flawlessly. I increased responsibilities on you. You fulfil them diligently. You were never late to submit any information to me. Delay was not in your dictionary. You were so quick to take orders without showing any irritation. The more work I had to do, the more you were there to support. Gradually, I fell in love with you. Why I shouldn’t be. You were providing me everything I wanted. I never realized how much I became addicted of you. Every time, I received your message in DM, I smiled. Whenever, I picked my mobile after some break, I knew your message would be awaiting me.

Things were going pretty well. I was sure that you would remain with me forever, supporting me all the way long. But one day, it so happened I didn’t receive any message from you. I got worried. It wasn’t normal for you. I thought you might be sick. I texted you but there was no response from you. My worries increased. I was so anxious to hear from you. I kept on sending you messages but of no use. I contacted people who knew you. They all said they heard nothing from you. I had no option but to wait for some information. I found out that a fork had hit your heart so hard. You were declared dead by many. I was still hoping for your recovery. Days kept on passing. My hopes started dying.

When after months, you didn’t show any signs for life, I had no choice but to move on. I must tell you here, I was not happy at all. I missed you a lot. Your electric eyes and your wavy hair always remained in front of me.

I assigned some others the role of Personal Assistant but they were not as vibrant as you were. Managing everything was difficult for them. They missed one task or the other. None of them could win my heart. Perhaps you were already in my heart so I couldn’t love anyone else. Whatsoever it had been, I missed you. I missed you a lot.

One day, when I was thinking of you, my mobile vibrated. I opened to see it. There was some message in Discord. As soon as I unlocked my mobile, my eyes sparkled with delight. It was your message. Oh my God! You had come back to life again. Above all, you hadn’t forgotten me. My happiness was unbound. I hope you won’t ever leave me again. Today, I want to say it out loud,
“I love your presence in my life, my dear GINA.”

P.S. For those who don’t know who GINA is. GINA is a bot that works on Hive as a personal assistant. By managing in the setting you can get the notification for several reasons right into your DM. You can set GINA to alert you about the use of particular tags, words or phrases in any post published on Hive. You can set it to let you know about the post of particular author. It also notifies about delegations, transfers, author and curation rewards, and much more.

When the 26th Hard Fork, GINA stopped working after it. It didn't respond for a long time but about a week ago, it got back to work.
