A short yet Delightful Shopping

Stationery and arts & crafts products are something that have always fascinated me. A stationery product of new style would make me want to have it in my collection. I remember when I was younger, I always had a keen eye on every new stationery product my father would bring at home. I often asked my father’s permission to keep them with me before any other of my sibling would see it. Not a very huge but I had a collection of markers, highlighters, colour pencils, glitters, erasers, diaries, etc. However, I wouldn’t want things to waste. Being useless for a long time is one way of wasting things, isn’t it? Some of the stationery would waste by drying . Markers , pens, highlighters become useless if kept for a long time. I never (even as a kid) appreciate wasting money. That’s why my stationery collection was in limit. New arrivals would appeal me , that’s another thing.

Now, I don’t get enough time to utilize those products. That’s why I no longer buy them. The collection of poster colors, markers, brushes I used to have is already utilized by my kids. There are things I do buy for my sons. However, they are not that interested in arts and crafts, so the purchase is according to their needs. Lately, I came to know about DIYHub Community on Hive. It fascinated me a lot. Though I don’t get enough time for making crafts, yet I have decided to take part at least in the monthly theme of the community. This way I would be able to fill my heart with joy by doing something I always loved to do. For this purpose I needed some crafts related items. I went to a local stationery shop and buy all these products.

A yellow coloured card sheet. I think it is after 15 or more years since I bought a coloured card sheet. I wonder if the colours and quality of these sheets have changed or it is the one that I have bought is another variety. I asked the shop keeper if it was available in lighter shade. He replied that it is only available in this type. The color shade is slightly different on two sides. During my school days, about 15 years ago this sheet cost 5 Rupees. Today it is 50 Rs

The next thing I bought is hot glue gun and its glue sticks.

The shop keeper presented two guns to me. The two were different in size. I chose the smaller one because I think it would be enough for my needs. However, I asked him if there is only the difference of size or there might be something else in which the two differ. He assured me the difference was only in sizes and nothing else. I asked him the price which he said was 350 Pkr. I had went through some online shop where I saw the price to be below 300 Rs. However, I am so bad at bargaining. I could only bring him down to 330.

The other thing I bought was glittered formic sheet.

Oh I wanted to buy all the colours, yet I had to keep my shopping economical. So, I bought only 4 colours. Each sheet cost me Rs. 35. Truth be told I am feeling discontent with only 4 colours. I think I would buy some more soon. Actually, at this point I am not really sure what I am exactly going to do with them. That’s why I am confused about which colours I would be needing.

I am pretty sure when I would start working, there would be some other items I would figure out I need. Then, I will have to visit the market again. For today, the shopping is over. And I must say it was a short yet delightful shopping experience

Hey Sassy partner 😍....that was a nice shopping 🛒🛍️. After 15 years of not shopping about your craft...by the way, I am really waiting to see what u come up with for the diyhub monthly challenge.

I also love craft work but most times, I don't have sufficient time to do so .

Lack of sufficient time is the reason I am away from craft work too.

Do you have something to prepare for DIYHub monthly contest?
