Monomad: The Secret Life of Fungi

"Why do you post mushrooms so frequently and what makes them so special?" A friend of mine asked me that question after noticing how frequently I share photos of mushrooms on Facebook and Instagram; perhaps he is unaware that I also frequently publish photos of mushrooms on Hive.

I responded, "That's because I just actually love mushrooms; they're present by nature and too wonderful to be disregarded."

And because they are so fascinating, when you are focused on seeking mushrooms, you even ignore getting bitten by vicious jungle mosquitoes. Anyone who enjoys or hunts mushrooms will be aware of that.

I'm not sure, though, if after hearing my explanation, he has developed a sudden fondness for mushrooms or desires to go mushroom hunting in the woods, since not everyone is resistant to mosquito bites.
