Today we will take a journey into history. Our destination is Konya in the 13th century. In this century, war and turmoil reigned in neighboring states. But the situation was different in Konya, which was within the territory of the Anatolian Seljuk State. Peace and brotherhood prevailed in the city. People of all religions and races lived here freely.

Bugün sizinle tarihe yolculuk yapacağız. Gideceğimiz yer 13. yüzyılın Konyası. Bu yüzyılda komşu devletlerde savaş ve kargaşa hüküm sürüyor. Fakat Anadolu Selçuklu Devleti'nin toprakları içinde bulunan Konya'da durum farklıydı. Şehirde barış ve kardeşlik hakimdi. Her dinden ve ırktan insan burada özgürce yaşıyordu.

The museum was built on a very large area. Especially, it is a great feeling to enter a museum without having parking problems. I had the opportunity to closely examine the architecture of the museum as I walked through this large area. You know, the appearance of a good meal gives a clue about its flavor. So, when I saw the museum, I immediately realized that there was something delicious waiting for me inside.

Müze oldukça geniş bir alana kurulmuştu. Özellikle, otopark sorunu yaşamadan bir müzeye girmek harika bir duygu. Bu geniş alanda ilerlerken müzenin mimarini yakından inceleme fırsatım oldu. I wasn't wrong. When I went up the stairs, I was in a different world. After the first surprise, I started to admire the surroundings. I was at a loss where to look because of the beauty of so much beauty together. -Normal for a history lover :) - 13th century Konya was in front of me with all its nakedness.

Yanılmamıştım. Merdivenlerden yukarıya çıktığımda artık farklı bir dünyadaydım. Yaşadığım ilk şaşkınlıktan sonra hayranlıkla etrafı incelemeye başladım. Bu kadar güzelliğin bir arada olmasından dolayı nereye bakacağımı şaşırmış haldeydim. -Tarih sevdalısı biri için normal bir durum :) - 13. yüzyıl Konya'sı tüm çıplaklığı ile karşımdaydı.

I still have information about that century from my school years. In that period there was a great scholar like Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Born in 1207, Mevlana is known by many people around the world even today. His universal thoughts and embracing everyone with love made him important and carried him beyond the ages.

So much so that UNESCO declared 2007 as "World Mevlana Year".

O yüzyıl hakkında okul yıllarından kalma bilgilerim hala duruyor. O dönemde Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi gibi büyük bir alim var. 1207 yılında doğan Mevlana, bugün bile dünyada birçok insan tarafından bilinmekte. Evrensel düşünceleri, herkesi sevgiyle kucaklaması onu önemli yaptı ve çağlar ötesine taşıdı.

Öyle ki, UNESCO 2007 yılını "Dünya Mevlana Yılı" ilan etmişti.

Mevlana's Konya was a land of love, a refuge for people. Even the ruler of the time bowed to him with respect, and people were eagerly waiting to benefit from his knowledge. The Panorama Museum should be seen in the context of this information. At that time, Christians, Muslims, people of various religions and nationalities lived here in peace.

Mevlana Konya'sı insanlar için bir sevgi diyarı, bir sığınaktı. Devrin hükümdarı bile onun önünde saygıyla eğilir, insanlar onun ilminden faydalanmak için heyecanla beklerdi. Panorama müzesini bu bilgiler çerçevesinde görmek gerekiyor. O dönemde Hristiyanlar, müslümanlar; çeşitli din ve milletten insanlar burada barış içinde yaşıyordu.

This historical information of course affected my view of the Panaroma Museum. But apart from that, I walked around with the awareness that I was in a perfect place in terms of design. It was like walking through a magnificent movie. When I looked at the three-dimensional designs, everything seemed frozen for a while, as if they would move if I touched them. Fortunately, my imagination was able to set them in motion. I took a closer look to see everything moving.

Bu tarihi bilgiler elbette Panaroma Müzesi'ne olan bakışımı etkiledi. Ama bunun dışında tasarım anlamında mükemmel bir yerde olduğumun bilinci ile gezdim. Muhteşem bir filmin içinde gezmek gibi bir histi bu. Üç boyutlu tasarımlara baktığımda her şey bir süreliğine donmuş gibiydi, sanki dokunsam harekete geçeceklerdi. The people, the soldiers, the artisans were at the center of everything. The details of daily life, trade and the arts added beauty and vitality to the city. I tried to be a part of it all and savor every moment I was there.
