I've waited a long time for these photos: Chipmunks

Hello nature and animal lovers,
Today I will tell you about an important goal for me. For a long time I wanted to take pictures of the squirrels around me. But they are very timid creatures. They often run away when they see you. Sometimes they freeze when they don't run. They do this high in the tree when they feel safe. In short, the conditions are tough for this dream of mine. But fortunately, I recently came across two tiny squirrels. They didn't know why they had to run away from people. They even went about their daily lives when I approached them in the right way. In fact, when I reflect on this situation, a sad question comes to my mind, Is it we who are teaching them to be afraid?

Anyway, let's not go too far :) I will share the photos I took with my camera and try to inform you about these cute creatures. I hope you like it.

Features
Squirrels are one of the most innocent and cute creatures in nature. The upper parts of the bodies can be of various colors. Their tails are quite long. They can curl their tails, which are almost as long as they are, and touch their backs. Its big and bright eyes are the first thing you notice.

Their length varies between 18-25 cm, their tails vary between 14-20 cm. Their weight varies between 280-480 gr.

Habitat and Distribution

They choose their habitats close to their feeding areas. You usually see them in forest areas, parks. There are many walnut trees planted by the villagers in our region. It's an incredible place for squirrels.

If we do not count Iceland and the Mediterranean, they can be seen in many places in the world. They have a large living space.

Reproduction and Lifespan

They give birth to seven cubs once or twice a year. This number may increase. There are also squirrels that give birth up to forty per year. That's a pretty high number. Their offspring are very important to them. When the mother squirrel leaves the nest, it covers both the nest and her young with grass. Their average lifespan is seven years.
