The Impact Of Upbringing and Religion In The Development Of Moral Values.
When a new child is born, There are lots of factor that contribute to the moral upbringing of such child. The kind of environment an individual lives has either a positive or negative impact in the way such an individual react or behave within a society. There is this popular saying that's say "charity begins at home". On a greater extent, Family is a major factor that contribute to the moral bringing of a child. The first social group a child comes in contact with is the family. Most times when an individual behave either rightly or wrongly within the society, the first question people always ask is, what family does such individual comes from?
Do you know why they ask such questions? It's because they actually wanted to track such individual's moral standard based on the family he or she came from. Indeed, charity begins at home, what you don't have you can't give it out. That means the habit you never cultivate, you can neither give it out nor express it to someone else.

Sharing my own personal experience, I grew up in a home where it's a crime to say insultive words or use abusive words on anyone. I got used to this that whenever I come across people insulting or using abusive words on each other I find them so strange because it's not part of my moral standard.
Therefore the kind of moral standard a parent lays down before a child tends to have a great impact on the child's behavior and beliefs.
Another social group that shapes moral behavior is religion. Religion has really transformed alot of individuals, most especially in the way to live and to interact with one another.
As a Christian, I must be sincere with you all, there has been a lot of things that has changed about me. Most especially my moral behavior. I became more calm and peaceful. I relate with people in love, that's because the religion has influence my belief and behavior towards people.

Other social group are culture and peer group. Culture has a way of redefining our thoughts and beliefs. In my culture, there are lot of cultural belief and traditions. One of them is tradition of greeting elders, a lady is meant to knee down while the male prostrate while greeting an elder. This actually shows honour and respect to such an elder.
There is this popular saying that says "show me your friend and I will show you who you are. The kind of friend you talk with or interact with will surely influence your moral standard either positively or negative.
From the above social group stated above, the major aspect that had the egreatest impact on my moral standard till date is Family and Religion.
Tll date, I'm always grateful for the kind of family i came from, they instill positive moral values in us which as never left us the same. Also religion has really shapen me to become a better version of myself and also shapens my moral behavior positively.
You have said it in one simple phrase.
Charity Begins At Home.
And thats all
That's it💯
