Seeing with the heart. Accidental photos.(Eng/Esp)

The face is the mirror of the mind, and the eyes, without words, reveal the secrets of the heart.
St.Jerome
I had almost forgotten that the light is different in the morning. It is a bit softer, cleaner, and holds brief, luminous moments where colors contrast with the shadows of reflections—or the reflections of shadows... I wonder, is there a difference?
I don’t know much about photography—actually, almost nothing at all; I simply have the urge to capture something I find beautiful... and to top it off, I’m using an ordinary phone.
But that isn't the most important thing; what I’d really like to overcome is my shyness around the somber faces that look at me while I pretend to take their picture. I love those black-and-white photos where each person seems lost, absorbed in their own thoughts. That is art... and no, I haven't managed to capture one like that yet.
Still, I love the unusual experience of discovering unique moments right before our eyes—moments that last only an instant... brief moments revealing light that seems to come from another physical realm.

That awkward angle behind a country fence at sunrise; the warm reflections that almost wash out the landscape; the morning shadows that gather the dampness between buildings, turning cool and inviting by afternoon... all while someone, weighed down by the years, passes by at the same time and place every day—wearing the only coat and hat life ever gave him—never losing his way.

You simply have to observe.
Even the goats wandering the streets know the path and start munching on garden plants. I’m sure the neighbors have started looking for the culprits and shooing them away now and then, but they say goats are incredibly stubborn when it comes to food and chewing their cud; I suppose they’ve become fans of specific flower species people grow here.

Today has undoubtedly been a day of surprises; I was fascinated by a very tall almond tree—there was one leaf completely different from all the others in the arboretum. While still clearly one of them, it looks like a star. It stands out so much that it’s impossible to overlook.

What a magnificent opportunity for a professional camera! Its colors betray its presence amidst the intense green surrounding it. So beautiful and radiant, it is on the verge of death. Soon it will fall and become part of the carpet of leaves covering the ground beneath the almond tree, and soon it will serve as vital energy for the tree.
Nature is so wise and so strong. Even inorganic objects are absorbed, creating a beautiful contrast of renewal.

Life chooses to thrive amidst the rubble; with its green mantle, life reclaims all that once belonged to Mother Earth, drawing it back to remain part of her form.
Further along, I was surprised by the papaya plants we sowed a few months ago—they are laden with fruit, and it is clear someone is tending to their nourishment... thank you for that, sir!

And finally, before heading back, I came across a local mixed-breed dog peacefully dreaming; he was resting on the cool floor of a small shelter beside his owner, waiting with absolute devotion and calm... a symbol of the tenderest loyalty, and of a quality no human capable of loving their fellow beings should ever lack.

... And only when our gaze reaches far enough to see the beauty in things invisible to the eye will we understand, the importance of looking with the heart...
Thank you for joining me in the ethereal reveries of a morning filled with light
Espanish Version"Mirando con el corazón.Fotos accidentales.*
Always very grateful for your reading.
The text is entirely my own; I’m actually very bad at copying others. ✍🏼
I took the photos myself—can't you tell? I'm terrible at it. 📸
Translation done with Google Translate, Although sometimes I try to translate it myself. I'm working on it. 🖥️
