Let's talk about what I do for a living.

In this generation it is very important for one to be engaged in one business or the other. Everyone has something very special to them that is their source of income. Though there are some we just do for part time jobs and there are some that takes more of our time not necessarily because it gives you more income, it might also be because of pleasure.

I cal mystery an entrepreneur. I have been engaged in so many Minal jobs to keep body and soul together. To start with I am typist. I started my computer business center since 2004. Even before going into the computer business I have worked as a tailor. I also did that when I was single but when I got married I couldn't just combine my tailoring job and my family, so I decided to let go of that work. When I decided that I want to do something else I went for computer training in a business center very close to My house. I learnt that for six months. After the training I was advised to go for training on computer engineering too because if I want to open a computer center I really need to know how to fix some problems before getting a qualified engineers to work for me. I went for it and it took me another six months to complete the training.

The computer center was established and I started training others and getting money from that. I also do typing and photocopy, laminating documents as well. I left the business center for my husband when I felt the need to go back to school. At first I was okay with just the business center, but when I started seeing my friends speaking good English and I can't. Most of them have good jobs and are living well and big. I noticed that my limitations were because I didn't go to school. Back then I felt very inferior when ever we are together with my friends. Sometimes even when I know what to say and how to say it I can't talk because something deep within me tells me that I can't say it very well like they do. Some of them lived a very big and expensive lifestyle which I can't afford. I just knew inside of me that the solution to my problem is going back to school. But then the question was how do I start? I don't even have my primary school certificate with me because back then I didn't see it necessary to collect it from the school. But I summoned courage to push on. I went back to school 2013 and still in school till today. I have decided to keep moving till I see the end.

Next was the home teacher: When I graduated from Nasarawa state college of education Akwanga, 2019 and decided to continue my Education I knew that I just have to get something doing to earn money at the end of the month or something. I went for home lesson teacher. I did that for about four years before I stopped because it began to affect my studies and health at the same time. At a time I noticed that I was always running from lectures to the house to make food for the family and then rush back to go for my home lessons. I don't sleep well because I needed to read at night so as to pass my exams. And then I can't also sleep in the day time because I needed to go hunt for money. So, this time I told myself that you need some rest because you are not getting any younger. Hahaha 😂. At this point I stopped the home lessons and concentrated on my studies and the family alone.

Another business that I decided to go with is selling original honey. I also started this particular business so that I can get little money from it to support the home lesson, but when I left the home lesson I decided to take it more serious and it has really helped me financially too apart from hive. At least with this business I can say that I don't lack my okoda money every day to school. Though it doesn't sell fast but no matter what I still make gain from the sales whenever it is been sold.

DO I WANT TO CHANGE?
Is not as though I have a stable business or job that I will not go for a change if given the opportunity. I want to have a stable job. Yes I know I make little money from what I do here on hive, but you know that sometimes vote comes and sometimes it won't come and there is nothing that one can do other than wait to get vote. So with hive I get what will sustain me for sometimes, I will also love to get a good job that can pay me very well when I am done with my studies at the end of this year. Of course I don't want to get job with my NCE CERT. but I will love to get a very good job with my DEGREE CERT.

This is a little about myself and what I do outside hiving.

Selling honey is another lucrative business, you just need a good location to help you sell out. Owning a business center in a university area is quite good, I don't know if you will consider opening one in the school you are.

I pray God favours you in your aspirations. It's good to be hardworking and even though it's not looking as we want it to be at the moment, the fact that we are trying is enough encouragement that things will get better. I hope Hive favours you more often

WOW, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU. I love that spirit of an entrepreneur in you. Opening a computer centre is a lucrative business, I do challenge those who do it in busy location. I just keep wondering how you guys cope with the business with the everyday high increase in papers, inks and many others.
