커피를 한잔 해야지 하는 생각에
커피 보트에 물을 붓고 스위치를 누른다.
그리고 다른 일을 한다.

물이 끓는다.
아! 커피 타야지 하며 일어서려다
아니야 이거 마저 하고 타 먹지

다시 물을 끓인다
이거 마저 하고 가, 슬그머니 밀어 놓은
커피 타야 지는 기억 장부에서 낮잠을 즐긴 듯
불현듯 아니 커피는 하며 일어난다.

산다는 게 이렇다.
가끔은 이거 치매 아니야로 고민도 하고
중요한 약속도 놓치고는 어쩔 줄 몰라하다
야! 우리 나이 때면 다 그래 하며
나도 그렇다 야, 에 안심하나
가슴속을 휑하니 돌아 나가는 바람
11월에 부는 호명산 능선 바람을 닮았다.

그런데 그런데
젊어서는 안 그랬다는 생각
혹시 그것도 착각 아닌가...?
