How freedom survived Evil- My Entry to #zapfic Microfiction

On the banks of Euphrates 71 men were attacked by 30000 soldiers

Seventy hours of hunger and thirst mowed down by the army

Husain was butchered but did not bow

And Freedom breathed again, the shackles of cruelty burned away by innocent blood
