It has begun.. The last round of the student teaching practice. I'm now in my final year in school. Phew... How time flies. It was just 2016, feels like yesterday. I remember how I was so excited about my admission to study in the higher institution but after some time all the excitement has disappeared. Lol.

Like I said above, I've started my teaching practice program which I'm delighted about. As an educationist, the journey has not been easy but we keep pushing. I was assigned to a private school few proximity away from my house and I just love the pupils in the class I teach.

In the time table we have the basic subjects there which are the maths, english, quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, basic science, social studies, drawing etc. As a student teacher assigned to the primary school section of my teaching practice school. In the primary school we tend to teach all subjects in general and not specialize on the topic of my real course of study like in the secondary school.

Just yesterday, after break time. It was time for drawing on the time table and my pupils followed all the oral instructions given to draw from any provided images that pleased them. Some loved the image of the computer and drew that, some the image of a fish, some the image of a tree, some the image of varying wild animals etc.

In all of this there were two boys I spotted in the back seat who had good hands with the pencil. It was obvious that the touch of an artist dominates their psychomotor skills. T'is was lovely to observe as I was quite impressed and proud of them. I had a pep talk with them after the drawing period. It was not a surprise to me when one uttered he wanted to be a great artist when he grows up and the other a professional electrician.

Well, fingers crossed. I dont know what the future has in stock for this young lads but my prayer is that may their dreams come true and I wish all my pupils well in life.
