Thoughts from a little town in Mexico | An update

Who cares about personal updates, right? I can't wait for communities to be able to post about random topics without said posts being on my steem profile, but on the community's feed.

I mean, as I said, who cares about personal updates? I know there's a lot of Steemians who just don't post about themselves, not because they don't want to or because they don't have anything to say, but because they say well, I don't post a lot because I don't have a lot to say, and who would want to read about me me me?

Well, I think I'm the opposite. I write a lot about my thoughts, my opinions, my personal - to a certain point - life and pretty much about anything that goes through my mind.

It's not like I believe somebody cares about my life details and my updates. I write my thoughts on Steem as a catharsis method, a way to improve on my writing, get and bounce ideas with myself - and the amazing people who comment on my posts - and as therapy. I love writing on Steem, I would do it even if there was no incentive whatsoever other than writing - no rewards, no engagement, no nothing.

I wish I could write more. I can't. My inspiration doesn't let me. I don't want to shitpost, no no. If I spend a week without posting (it's happened) or if I post 14 times a week (I don't think that's happeened, I believe my record is 12 times a week and it only happened once or twice).

Anyway, my life update

But Eric, aren't you worried about self-doxxing? All the time you write about your whereabouts and what are you doing and your plans and so on... that's pretty unsafe considering we are in the cryptosphere and everyone knows your crypto holdings!

Meh. I'm not crypto rich and I'm even farther away from being Fiat rich. Besides I'm mexican, if someone wants to rob me or kidnap me for my crypto holdings, I'll rob them instead. The hood backs me, bro.

First of all, I came back home for the puppies. They are almost 2 months old! There's only 4 now, the other five were given away to adoptive families. They were eating too much and they were old enough to get adopted, so my dad gave them away to responsible, loving families. He didn't sell them, he only cares about the puppies getting the best house they can, and sometimes that's with people who can't pay a large sum of money for a puppy, but they are a family full of love and care.

I've been focusing most of my energy on Steem, both on OCD stuff and Steem Onboarding Stuff...

By the way, did I tell you we already have an SPS proposal waiting for you to approve it? Please, go check it out here, and just search in UPCOMING for the STEEMONBOARDING proposal... if you like it, give it a vote! Every vote counts.

As I was saying before my selfconscious betrayed me and I used the chance to shill my own shit to you, been doing a lot of curation and getting some things rolling with one thing on my mind: The betterment of Steem.

In my spare times I excercise and damn, I've spent a lot of my free time researching about my next move.

If you read some of my previous posts, I'm doing - or want to, at least - a Master's in Europe (second diploma for you Eurobros) and the first thing I had to get sorted was the Country I want to live in for the next two years. I think I have decided Austria.

The cost of living, the language, it's general mountain range and natural face, level of education, cost of education, size of their cities - I don't like big cities that much - and its general feeling of being in a small town and, last but not least, cute girls. It's very similar to Germany, I know, but Austria is a bit cheaper, i think that's the he only reason Austria wins. So yeah, Austria it is. I'm still looking into where exactly, but most likely it will be Vienna or Graz, I'm still looking at the curriculum and programmes as well as the tuitions.

And lastly, I've been practicing my German a lot, probably 2 hours a day. Why? Because since Early October, I knew I wanted to study in Europe and damn, even though I had Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Austria as options, somehow my brain knew the final showdown was going to be between Germany and Austria, which is exactly why I've been practicing - and learning more, because I still need to learn a lot - my german.

And so it is. Right now I'm listening to Disney songs in German while I write a post, right before I go feed the puppies and get ready for bed.

That was my update, not much of an update, but damn, how I love to write them here on Steem.

Oh, I fell in love with the kitten, and I'm not much of a car person so that's saying a lot!

I have no idea why you are awake, but if you have time it would be great to have a discord chat about this, I'll send you a message. Oh and yeah, I know at least 12 polish steemians :)

Edit: hm, can't find you on discord, of you're able to, pls send me a message anomadsoul#8455

You make me giggle! I was looking to see how 'you, you, you' were doing and got caught by puppies ~ so your timing on this post about yourself was perfect! I haven't been on steem much the past week so I wanted to check in since last time I read about your traveling hiccups when you were in Vancouver!
I agree there should be a balance between sharing about ourselves and focusing on sharing what we find in the world. The tendency towards narcissism has definitely exploded with social media and selfie trends!!!
The musical choice of Disney songs in German was a random left turn for me ~ good way to leave the reader curious about your tastes!
Love your personal update. Soak up some of the puppy breath for me. And kudos on gaining more education and knowledge. It really is power.

Ow Heilige Herr Gott! Er kommt die Bergen in!

Good move on deciding on where to! The rest will follow! Put some Netflix on German speech, with English subtitles..It helped me a lot

Good luck with your plans and if you decide to visit the Czech Republic (Austria´s northern neighbor), let me know :)

Btw I wonder if that October mention has anything to do with the OktoberFest :D

I like the color spectrum of your dogs! Though I thought you may have another adventure in store for us on how you got back from Vancouver... But for the lack of it, I'll just have to imagine.

Hi. Thanks for your post. I like to read about other authors' insights, thoughts, and experiences. I love to freewrite. Although I'm not a pet person (allergic), I like to read and see pictures of them with their owners. Have a great 2020, and keep posting about whatever makes you happy!
