Kia ora! Thank you for this post and shedding light on the new adjustments for the curation rewards. While there are people who will view it as antagonizing for the part of the authors, I myself can't give a definitive conclusion on who will benefit more. I will see things as they happen. Thanks too for putting emphasis on the acts of altruism. It doesn't have to be always big; as small acts of random kindness can bring ripple effects in the entire Steem blockchain making it a better place for authors and curators.

Tēnā koe! Steem has been missing altruism for quite some time, when we get back the spirit of looking outward towards others rather than inwards towards ourselves, only then will our community prosper.
I have noticed people like @theycallmedan perform random acts of altruism as in his recent tweet giving away $200 in the Steem Telegram chat. We need more of this, even on a small scale.
