Hard times ahead!

Time for some wise quotes.

This sentence is so true and so annoying at the same time. It take away all the excitiment in exploring and personal mistakes :).

Crypto is new!

Yea it is, but people are the same. Same principles guides them around this new thing.

So, wise words eh. Especially in hard times :).

Here comes the first one.

1. Most people overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do in decades!

This one is just the opposite of the crypto mentality. We all want some fast money here. Very few, and probably very, very few may get it. The majority will need to be patience and grind a long way.

In businesses terms usually it takes at least 5 years to have some project standing. A solid one 10 years.
Elon Musk, the techie favorite, needed 4 years for his first company. Zip2, from 1995 till 1999. He is one in a billion. You and me are not him, and most likely will never be. Like 99,999999% certainty.

Bitcoin was almost totally unknown in the first 5 years. Only somewhere around 2013, 2014 when it crossed 1000$ started to gain some exposure, and it really took of in 2017... 9 years after it creation.

Steem is 3 years old!

The optimistic scenario would be like it can make something in like 2 more years. More realistic 5 to 7 years.
And its not guaranteed. There is some stats around that 70% of businesses fail in their 10th year.

The new Steem projects just coming out?

If they are serious in their things, prepare to wait for their success at least 5 years. Can you see the people around them grinding for at least 5 years?

True, this is a new environment, decentralized, with no single point of failure (at least that is what we think), and thing can evolve a bit differently. Who knows!

At the end one more

1. Courage to change that which can be changed

2. The serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed

3. Wisdom to know the one from the other

That third one can be so tricky!
