Weekend Recap

Hi Friends,

I had a very good weekend and hope each of you did as well.

On Saturday, we were supposed to go visit my parents in law, but they came down sick so we had to cancel. With the free day, my wife visited a friend for a few hours in the middle of the day while I watched the kids. We played inside in the morning and then were outside in the afternoon. Nothing too crazy, but it was good to take it easy. I did do a little panning out of some sluice box concentrates (will do a separate post on that) and gave Jacob some play dirt and a gold pan to practice with.

Only problem was that he and the neighbor’s cat started hanging out and he turned the gold pan into a drinking bowl for the cat:

We went to church on Sunday and then everyone took naps after lunch. Jacob and I cuddled up under a blanket while the NFL playoff game was on so that was nice. My wife then gave me and Jacob haircuts, so it was also productive. We had a good dinner too.

Overall, a very nice weekend!
