Wednesday walk and Steem Basic Income Give away

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.

Following me and resteeming the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion, but you may have a better chance of receiving a Steem Basic Income Share if you do.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, resteem and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending @steembasicincomeshares to a selection of those who participate.

Actifit

A good App that works well in conjunction with the Wednesday Walk or any day walk is @actifit, which rewards you with Actifit Tokens and Steemit Upvotes, if you use the app to track your steps and do a post of your actifit total each day.

If you do a lot of activity I do recommend you check it out

This weeks Wednesday Walk

For this week's walk, I am sharing shots of a walk around the Lisman Landing Are ain downtown Milford CT, Starting off on the Fowler Field Side Looking across the river to Helwig Street, when I first moved here we lived in an apartment building just behind those colorful buildings and I never tire of this view

Steem Basic Income give away

I mentioned in the guidelines that from this week I will be sponsoring a few who join the #wednesdaywalk challenge with shares on Steem Basic Income

What is Steem Basic Income you may ask well here is how they explain it

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content. so I have decided to send some Steem Basic Income shares to 5 people selected through a random draw so on the weekend all people who joined in last weeks Wednesday walk. @joanstewart, @kaminchan, @crypt-skip, @opeyemioguns, @bugavi,
all people who joined in last weeks Wednesday walk .
And a special bonus this week @elizacheng will send one SBI share to @wesphilbin,

I would love to be able to give everyone who joins a Steem Basic Income share, but I don't make enough steem each week to do so, but I will try and share them around fairly between those that join the challenge

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

That is a pretty cool little foot bridge. I think it is very interesting that they actually named it. I am guessing there is a story behind it.

I am sure there must be a story behind it, I think it is named after one of the early founders of the city but have not been able to confirm that

I enjoy seeing where people live. Milford looks like a clean small town...is it? The flowers on the bridge made me think it's a town that cares.

I love the row of colorful houses lining the street by the pier. It reminds me of Europe in so many ways. What a bright and beautiful day this is! It's always nice to see the flag flying straight and proud and I do enjoy when the boating area has seating so that I can enjoy the site.

You really came away with a stunning view peering over the Hotchkiss Bridge! It's your attention to detail that pushes a simple pedestrian bridge into a work of art. I love the way the clouds pop in each of your pictures and then, of course, there's that reflective moment down by the docks. A wonderful Wednesday walk!

Thank you for taking us there and showing a piece of Milford, Connecticut. It is such a lovely town and I truly enjoy perusing the neighborhood with you.

You have lived there for a while now! Do you think there have been many changes to this pretty little town since you have gotten there? I find that the smaller towns have smaller changes with bigger impacts, or perhaps that is just the way I think.

Upped and steemed

I do not think I have ever read one fo your comments and not smiled, you have such a way of making someone feel so good :)

It is a lovely area and II do love it here, I will miss it if or when we move away, as for changes, there has been a lot new apartment buildings going up shops changing, but now of that has taken away from the charm of the place

Not quiet teh day I was meant to drive to there place or the night before it got even worse, and i got no sleep at all, LUckily the dentist came into his office on one of his off days and did a root canal, so that delayed our visit by a day as I was to worn out to drive safely that day so wwe went a day later and it was all good then

Gorgeous shots! Even though it's sunny & bright here today, I'd swear your photos are somehow sunnier! 😂

Love that first shot with the multicolored buildings - I can see why you never tired of that view. Funny thing - first apartment I had with hubby also had a view of some funky colored buildings...I'll have to check sometime and see if I can find pictures of them...

At any rate, thanks as always for hosting this. Here's my link for the week -

@tattoodjay

You know I love your photography, as well as the #wednesdaywalk... these photos are stunning... and though I love them all, I am quite fond of those bridge shots! Something about the perspective, with all the hanging baskets... because... flowers! The Lisman Landing could make a perfect postcard as well... of course, granted they were your photos lol... Also, thank you both @tattoodjay, and @elizacheng for the SBI share... a wonderful initiative I think. @josephsavage and the whole SBI crew are doing an outstanding job... and you also, are doing a wonderful job, in promoting the @steemusa community.

Appreciate you taking us along for your #wednesdaywalk my friend and once again... thank you @elizacheng...
