Burwell beach and Villa Rosa properties

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.

Following me and resteeming the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion, but you may have a better chance of receiving a Steem Basic Income Share if you do.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending @steembasicincomeshares to a selection of those who participate.

Actifit

A good App that works well in conjunction with the Wednesday Walk or any day walk is @actifit, which rewards you with Actifit Tokens and Steemit Upvotes, if you use the app to track your steps and do a post of your actifit total each day.

If you do a lot of activity I do recommend you check it out

Make me Smile Collaboration

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,
On the third Wednesday of the month out two challenges will collaborate so if you combine the two into one post you have double the fun

Here are the rules for her challenge

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem,drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT

c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post

This weeks walk - Villa Rosa Properties by Burwell beach

In this post I showed the main Villa Rosa Building and told a bit about its history and mentioned it included some other buildings that were available for guests when originally built, and I will shot some of those properties which are now individually owned, and the beach nearby.
Starting with one of the properties which looks very nice and one I could happily live in but I am sure it is way out of my budget

Now you may or may not have noticed in the previous shot another entrance ot the beach, well thats a fancy Entrance or it was when it was new so I had to share a shot or two of it

Weekly giveaway of shares

Wow, those are pretty cool. The high tide line looks like it is almost to the wall so does that mean you can pretty much walk the entire beach? You just have to keep moving and not loiter?

Thanks and yes i often wonder about that the previous high tide was clearly up near the wall, and what happens when the high tide is right up to the properties?

I generally dont loiter anyway other than taking shots but using the high tide line seems a strange way to market he border to me

That villa or I should better say these houses are quite nice and my children would love to live in such a house direct at the beach. But I wouldn't want other people walking by in front of my terrace, when I'm sitting there at sunset, counting my money 😉

LOL 😂 now I was always against the idea of private beaches but you raise a good point counting your money and having a !BEER with random strangers and Riff Raff walking by doesnt sound good

You are so right, and tomorrow I will have to get up really early: if I sleep at home it will be at 2:00 and if I drive to my parents tonight, it will be at about 3:30, if I want to be on the peak at sunrise, which will be at about 7:30.

Oops, something went wrong, but I blame the time difference ;) lol
I wrote my reply this morning at work and want to go for that hike on Saturday morning, what means I am still at work 😉

But tomorrow at the same time, I hope to be already back from the mountain and have photographed a nice sunrise :)

I think it's interesting that the demarcation between private and public land is the high-tide mark. That reminds me of the '12 mile circle' border between Delaware and New Jersey, where Delaware owns the Delaware River separating the two states up to the low-tide mark of the NJ shore. It's kinda neat to see on a map.

Yeah I find that interesting and kind of bizarre, is it the latest high tide or the average high tide i really dont know

A really comfortable oasis there, ideal for holidays, nice that the beach is free for a walk. Great photography!

How many homes are in that beach development ? Homes must be expensive ... gosh what a great place to live.., by the waters. Your Wednesday walk sure made me smile, @tattoodjay 🌺🤙

I did a quick look online after the first time I visited there and properties seemed to be in the half to 1 Million dollar range which compared to some areas by the beach here is quite reasonable but still way out of my budget LOL

Very nice looking homes, something foreign to me is private beaches all beaches in our country are open to everyone, public domain to the best of my knowledge.

Having traveled to far off countries this concept has always amazed me how people are able to "purchase" something that belongs to all.

Times have changed perhaps this will arrive here too one day.

Any excuse to walk with pour cameras is a good one

Tomorrow I hope to get tot he Photoplus expo in NYC will be fun but will see so much I would love but cannot justify LOL
