Wednesday Walk in Tsarskoye Selo

Tsarskoye Selo is a former imperial residence near St. Petersburg. At the Baltic station, I took an electric train and drove to the Alexandrovskaya station.

The distance from this station to the entrance to the parks is about 2 kilometers. It turned out that I entered the parks as if from the back door, the imperial palaces and most of the pavilions are located on the opposite side.

This winter is more rainy than snowy, but I chose a day for a walk when it fell a little snow. Not today, this walk took place some time ago. The gray landscape seems a little brighter than usual thanks to the snow.

Usually I try to shoot so that people get into the frame. It seems to me that it turns out more interesting and more fun. But this time I acted differently, in almost all photographs you will see empty alleys. An excursion group of schoolchildren fell into the frame only in one picture. On the rest, either people are not visible at all, or they are very far away.

Thanks! I remember that you wrote on your blog that you are trying to take pictures without people :) I used to think that photos without people are boring, but now I think differently.

I think for landscapes and seascapes I will probably still go without people where i can, but for city shots I am trying to include people more often :)
