Wednesday Walk - Finally found the Crazy Pinnacle!

This was our second attempt at finding the 'Crazy Pinnacle' also known as the Tegness Pinnacle, after the quarry in Grindleford, UK that it was found in.

We walked up the same footpath as before but turned off earlier than last time. It wasn't long before I could see the pinnacle down below. It was called the 'Crazy Pinnacle' as nobody knew why the quarry workers left it there. I'm glad they did as not only does it look cool it is regularly used by rock climbers.

The rest of the quarry looks great with all the orange and brown bracken surrounding it. There was a millstone hiding down the banking but it was too dangerous to get a closer photograph. Everything was covered in moss. It was beautiful.

I see that the moss is thriving on the bolder in the forest 😍
