New Red Cross Report Suggests More than Half of Millennials Fear Nuclear Attack In Next 10 Years

If you listen to the mainstream media or any mainstream political commentary on numerous radio stations, podcasts, websites etc, then you might have become a little afraid as of late, about a rise in world war rhetoric.

The media does one thing very well and that is instilling fear into the masses, it isn't spreading truths, but fueling a desperation in millions to cling onto their governments for protection and to fear others, in the wake of what they believe is growing unrest and security threats in other places of the world.

According to a recent report from the International Committee of the Red Cross, most millennials today believe that a nuclear attack might happen within the next decade.

The report included 16k participants from various countries around the world, adults between the ages of 20 and 35. About 54 percent reported that they were currently living in fear of this potential reality that they think they might face eventually down the road.

And if they do, they will have government to thank for it. And the media for fanning the flames.

The state takes thousands of dollars from the average individual every year and with that money they provide them with crumbling roads, overflowing and deteriorating healthcare facilities, security services that at times often pose more of a threat, than offer any true help and security, short sighted and failed controls are widely prevalent. Yet, despite the trillions they are given, and the bold and lofty goals of working for "peace and security" around the world, after all that we still have them to thank for what many believe is an immediate threat to their peace and way of living, with potential nuclear war coming in the next several years.

But they might have a hard time finding the necessary fools who are willing to perpetuate and embrace such violence, and the state needs the people to be willing carry out its acts of violence, otherwise they would never get done.

Military organizations in various places around the world have been facing difficulties with recruiting and retention, many young people these days simply don't want to sign over their life for years. Perhaps more are realizing that a life given to the state is very easily a life that is wasted.

If many people today believe that their government is corrupt, then giving your remaining, limited freedom over to them isn't within your best interest, and only helps to support and fuel corruption in government and elsewhere. There are so many other, more positive, peaceful, and lucrative ways, that you can help to support your community or country, that don't involve invading other countries overseas.

If you want to get a little more peace in your life, turning off the nightly mainstream news is one easy way to do it.

I remember growing up in the 80s when CND was at its height and we were convinced the Ruskies would nuke us. Cycles! New generation, same old scare tactics, nuclear war and climate disaster. If only we could see further than the end of our noses.

I just saw a Facebook post talking about how America spends millions of dollars on one bomb and drone to kill people that make a few dollars a month.

When you put something in that perspective really makes you wonder what we're doing dropping that bomb in the first place.

singing "why can't we be friends, very awfully"

Seems like nothing has really changed.

Growing up in Denmark in the 1960's and 1970's, I remember the eternal talk of how "The Americans and the Soviets might kill us all at a moment's notice" and the "warning" (whether true or not) that if the sirens went off and kept going, we could expect to have about "half an hour to live" because it meant the Americans and the Russians were sending nuclear missiles at each other, and they had the firepower to kill the world 50 times over... while we were just sitting in the middle (Denmark) minding our own business...

I just try to stay off mainstream social media. My life tends to be way less stressful that way. Just get up, live your day to the fullest and be happy. Why worry over shit you can’t control... just saying... they want us to be stressed and scared... So don’t be! Just be cool, be real, and abide my dudes!
