Thousands of people took to the streets across the U.S. today to protest against what has become known as "Trump's War" on social media, more commonly referred to as potentially the start of World War Three. This is amid claims that Northern Baghdad, Balad Airbase, has been struck by missile fire after explosions were also heard in Iraq's Green Zone and that an Iranian base was also hit by shelling, suggesting the two events are potentially connected.

Following the attacks, videos posted by RT Spanish affiliate — ActualidadRT — show several helicopters flying across Baghdad's skies.

This follows a droning of Iran-backed Shi’ite militias near camp Taji north of Baghdad, less than 24 hours after another U.S. drone attack assassinated Iranian military leader, Qasem Soleimani. Zerohedge reported the incident, calling it "round two." The attack is said to have killed six pro-Iran militia commanders and critically wounded three others according to an Iraqi army source.

This recent attack on a U.S. airbase in Northern Iraq is likely retaliation by the Iraqi pro-Iran militia or Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), possibly even Iran themselves for the assassination of Soleimani.

Al-Arabiya (and other local news sources) report rockets landed in the Green Zone in Baghdad, where the U.S. Embassy is stationed. Several witnesses told Reuters that explosions were heard in the capital of Iraq, Baghdad.

Shortly after the rockets landed in the Green Zone of Baghdad, less than 1 mile from the U.S. embassy, another attack took place at Balad Airbase which stations U.S. troops. Reports suggested that multiple rockets have struck Balad Airbase, located just North of Baghdad, which hosts U.S. troops.

Reports on Twitter also showed an attack that took place along the Syrian and Iran border which hit Iranian-backed Iraqi militias or the PMU again.

“Fire and smoke rising from a base housing Iranian troops in eastern Syria.” “All forces on the Iraq-Syrian border are on alert.”

Meanwhile, further reports suggest there are numerous other locations being hit with rockets or mortar fire; upwards of five to six different places, including the former Palace in Iraq, have now been struck with attacks according to unconfirmed social media reports. Another attack, this time a mortar shell, wounded 5 people in the Al-Jadiriya neighborhood in Baghdad.

Hackers who claim to be working for the Iranian government hacked a U.S. government website the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). The hackers warned this was just the first move and “only a small part of Iran’s cyber ability.”

The hackers posted:

This is message from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iraqi Parliament is excepted to vote to expel American forces as reported by Fox News. A military TV pundit then went on to hilariously say, "If they vote to expel our forces, I don't think we should respect that vote." This is after we went over there to spread "democracy" in the first place.

Trump responded to the comments by threatening 52 different targets in Iran, including civilian and military sites if any American is harmed by Tehran, “very fast and very hard."

The New York Times reports that last "Sunday, the Pentagon announced that airstrikes approved by the president had struck three locations in Iraq and two in Syria controlled by the group, Kataib Hezbollah." However, officials in the Pentagon were shocked to see Trump take the more extreme option of assassinating Soleimani.
