Last ever (non masked) wedding & family shopping trip

avatar

It is mandatory to wear masks in public spaces across France from today, so this week we enjoyed our final wedding & final family shopping trip. It should go without saying that wearing masks for any prolonged period is way more dangerous than the so called virus everyone is freaking out about and I will not be subjecting my children to this kind of madness. Instead I will simply teach them how to grow their own food while reading them the bedtime story I wrote about an evil dragon who tricked the world into being afraid of nothing so that it could rule over us forever. Except for those few who got away ;)

Ha! Good approach! Your kids are in VERY good hands.... they are incredibly blessed to have you as a dad... especially in this day and age! !tip

Hey Jaynie! Always a pleasure to see you here :)

Thank you for the tip and friendly words. I am doing my best to stay calm in all of this madness and most importantly, prepare for our new life in which we only need one or two things from the supermarket. It has been a crazy transitional year, but in many ways I am grateful for the kick up the arse which has motivated me more than ever!

Sending hugz x

Our new family member is sooooo perfect and if I wasn't playing with a kitten all the time I would write a post about it!

Thanks for the reminder cuddlekitten.

It started here already and the police have been getting aggressive with those who don't wear the masks. Children over 6 have to wear them now, even in summer camps in this heat doing physical activities, it is so wrong. I have yet to go into town to get supplies but I am not looking forward to it, I don't want to wear a mask but also don't want the police getting aggressive with me in front of my youngest. xxxx

At least they are not making children under six wear them! But the rest is clearly madness. Still, all challenges have their solutions and ultimately this only spurs us on to gain total independence around the way we live our lives.

Personally I am happy to never see the inside of a supermarket again and grateful Sabrina doesn't mind doing the shopping on her own. And let's face it, the kids won't even notice what has happened. We have fun wherever we are... except possibly during the boring bit of weddings ;) x
