@mickvir, I still have not played Steemmonsters! I am not a gamer. But is the activity on Steemmonsters increasing? I think the hype of that game was last fall.
SteemMonsters is steadily gaining active users at the moment.
Since the introduction of Dark Energy Crystals it has gaining attention again.
There is so much going on and you only need to check Dtube or even YouTube for ways on how you can make money off playing SteemMonsters.
You can earn cards just by playing and sell them for profit.
You can earn Dark Energy Crystals and use them to get more or better cards to sell.
You can also transfer Dark Energy Crystals to Steem Engine and either sell them or use them to get an upvote from Steem Monsters.
There is also tournaments in which you can win a variety of things including crypto .
I am looking long term and building my deck but I know for those that look short term there are definitely plenty of ways to make money on Steem Monsters.
