Waxed dentals floss works pretty well on packs. But yeah, anything from a guest house / hotel sewing kit will do the job.
Actually my girlfriend has a travel sewing kit, now getting her to use it is another thing all together! haha
Sewing's an underrated skill. Just ask her if you can borrow it.
