[ENG-ESP] MY TOP 5 FAVORITE COMEDY SERIES

Comedy in cinema has always been one of the genres that have fascinated me the most, from parodies that make you remember situations that make you laugh up to your pores, to intelligent references about some lost movement that requires criticism. Comedy is good for everything, not only to make us burst out laughing, but also to talk about some topic in a direct way to mock or satire. Today, joining the call of the Movies & TV Shows community, I will talk about my 5 favorite comedy series, since they are the ones that have marked me the most since I was a teenager.

La comedia en el cine siempre ha sido uno de los géneros que más me han fascinado, desde parodias que te hacen remembrar situaciones que te saca risa hasta los poros, hasta referencias inteligentes sobre algún movimiento perdido que requiere crítica. La comedia sirve para todo, no solo para hacernos estallar de risa, sino para hablar de algún tema de manera directa a fin de burla o sátira. Hoy, sumándome a la convocatoria de la comunidad Movies & TV Shows, hablaré sobre mis 5 series de comedia favoritas, ya que son las que más me han marcado desde mi adolescencia.

1. Kenan and Kel (1996-1999)
I'll start with one of the first ones I enjoyed the most. Kenan and Kel was an American television series aired on the Nickelodeon TV channel, created by Kim Bass and directed by Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins, Kevin Kapow, Heath Seifert and Dan Schneider. It starred Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. The series was about two teenage friends with a propensity for getting into trouble, laughs would emerge with the antics of Kel, who was my favorite in the entire series, and the bumbling daring of Kenan, who was always getting his poor best friend in trouble. If some of you are of my generation then you will remember the hilarious adventures of this pair of rascals.

Empezaré con una de las primeras que más he disfrutado. Kenan y Kel fue una serie de televisión estadounidense transmitida por el canal de TV Nickelodeon, creada por Kim Bass y dirigida por Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins, Kevin Kapow, Heath Seifert y Dan Schneider. Fue protagonizada por Kenan Thompson y Kel Mitchell. La serie trataba sobre dos amigos adolescentes con una propensión para meterse en problemas, las risas emergían con las payasadas de Kel, quien era mi preferido en toda la serie, y con la osadía torpe de Kenan, quien siempre metía al pobre de su mejor amigo en problemas. Si algunos de ustedes son de mi generación entonces recordarán las divertidas aventuras de este par de pillos.

2.- Malcolm in the Middle (2000-2006)
One of my most beloved TV series, it was created by Linwood Boomer of the FOX network, starring Frankie Muniz as Malcolm, a boy from a middle-class American suburban family who lives with his parents and three siblings. The character of Malcolm has a gifted intelligence but has to deal with a series of satirical situations along with his siblings in order to cope with daily life. This series really drove me crazy when it was shown on a TV channel in my country (Venezuela) and I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world, it has been one of the series that I have watched the most throughout my life and I would do it again.
2.- Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006)
Una de mis series de televisión más queridas, fue creada por la productora Linwood Boomer de la cadena FOX, protagonizada por Frankie Muniz como Malcolm, un chico de una familia clase media estadounidense de los suburbios que vive con sus padres y tres hermanos. El personaje de Malcolm tiene una inteligencia superdotada pero que tiene que lidiar con una serie de situaciones satíricas junto con sus hermanos para poder sobrellevar la vida diaria. De verdad que esta serie me volvía loco cuando la pasaban en un canal de televisión de mi país (Venezuela) y no me la perdía por nada del mundo, ha sido una de las series que más he visto a lo largo de mi vida y lo volvería hacer.

3.- F•R•I•E•N•D•S (1994–2004)
And speaking of series that I have seen the most, here we have another one that has been, not only the most successful of its time, but of this one. It's Friends, and who could forget this group of 6 very particular friends trying to deal with everyday life? If you're a fan of sitcoms you're sure to be crazy about this series too. It was directed by Gary Halvorson, Kevin S. Bright, Gail Mancuso, Michael Lembeck and stars the unforgettable Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. The series is about a group of friends living in New York City in which they have to deal with funny occurrences, a series that not only absorbs us getting some good laughs but teaches us that everything is more fun when you're with your friends.
3.- F•R•I•E•N•D•S (1994–2004)
Y hablando de series que más he visto, aquí tenemos otra que ha sido, no solo la más exitosa de su tiempo, sino de este. Se trata de Friends, ¿y quién se podría olvidar de este grupo de 6 amigos tan particulares tratando de lidiar con la vida diaria? Si eres fanático de las comedias seguro también estás loco por esta serie. Fue dirigida por Gary Halvorson, Kevin S. Bright, Gail Mancuso, Michael Lembeck y protagonizada por los inolvidables Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry y David Schwimmer. La serie trata sobre un grupo de amigos que vive en la ciudad de Nueva York en la que tienen que lidiar con divertidas ocurrencias, una serie que no solo absorbe sacándonos unas buenas carcajadas sino que nos enseña que todo es más divertido cuando estas con tus amigos.

4.- Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005)
Family sitcoms have rarely caught my attention, but when I came across this one, with just its style of a simple suburban family, with a wife who has to deal with her in-laws and a husband who not only has to maintain a home but keep his marriage from falling apart because of his parents, it's just too good not to watch. The series aired on the CBS network and stars Ray Romano, along with Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts, and Peter Boyle. The series is about a father Ray Barone who lives with his wife Debra and their three young children. They both have to deal with Ray's parents, who only live a block away from their house and are always on the lookout to invade their privacy. It's an excellent series to put you in leisure and entertain you for a good while.
4.- Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005)
Las comedias familiares poco me han llamado la atención, pero cuando me topé con esta, con solo su estilo de una simple familia de los suburbios, con una esposa que tiene que lidiar con sus suegros y un esposo que no solo tiene que mantener un hogar sino evitar que su matrimonio caiga por culpa de sus padres, es algo demasiado bueno para no ver. La serie fue transmitida por la cadena CBS y protagonizada por Ray Romano, junto con Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts, and Peter Boyle. La serie trata sobre un padre Ray Barone que vive con su esposa Debra y sus tres hijos pequeños. Ambos deben lidiar con los padres de Ray, que solo viven a una cuadra de su casa y siempre están pendientes de invadir su privacidad. Es una excelente serie para colocarte en el ocio y entretenerte por un buen rato.

5.- The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019)
And last and not least (ever) we have this TV gem that has made me laugh my head off. Written and produced by Warner Bros and Chuck Lorre and starring Jim Parson (Sheldon Cooper), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski) and Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler). The series is about a group of four Nerds friends whose lives change when they meet Penny, an attractive girl who gradually teaches her new genius neighbors that there is more to life than video games. This has been one of the series that broke my heart the most when it announced its end, despite being a repellent character I had a lot of sympathy for Sheldon Cooper, but as everything can't be forever, I still enjoy every episode I can watch online. The series has lasted well over 10 years making it one of the longest running comedy series in history.
5.- The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019)
Y por último y no menos importante (jamás) tenemos esta joya de la televisión que me ha sacado risas hasta el cansancio. Escrita y producida por la Warner Bros y Chuck Lorre y protagonizada por Jim Parson (Sheldon Cooper), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski) y Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler). La serie habla sobre un grupo de cuatro amigos Nerds que sus vidas cambian cuando conocen a Penny, una chica atractiva que le enseña paulatinamente a sus nuevos vecinos genios que hay mucho más en la vida que videojuegos. Esta ha sido una de las series que más me rompió el corazón cuando anunció su final, a pesar de ser un personaje repelente tenía mucha simpatía por Sheldon Cooper, pero como todo no puede ser eterno, aun disfruto cada episodio que puedo ver en línea. La serie ha durado mucho más de 10 años convirtiéndola en una de las series de comedia más larga de la historia.
This has been my Top 5 favorite comedy series, I only talked about series since I don't have movies of this genre that I love, well I do have them, but not to put them in a top like this. I thank the Movies & TV Shows community for allowing me to publish in this space and to have fun with this particular initiative.
Este ha sido mi Top 5 de series de comedia favoritas, solo hablé de series ya que no tengo películas de este género que me encanten, bueno si las tengo, pero no para colocarlas en un top como este. Malcolm in the Middle, es un clásico y de lo mejor que se podido ver en la televisión a nivel de comedia familiar.
Cada ocurrencia y eso que me encantaba cuando Malcolm rompía la 4 pared para interactuar con los espectadores era alucinante.
Jajaja sin olvidar al querido Hal que no salía de un disgusto pero que siempre le buscaba solución a todo, es genial recordar esos buenos tiempos.
