DEC is on Uniswap - Will it pull a 10 x like leo?

In case you haven't heard, it's been a couple of days since DEC (splinterlands) is trading on uniswap:

According to @lordbutterfly there are some nice incentives for liquidity providers, like free land or something for the upcoming update.

What do you think ? Will it pull a 10 x like leo? Me, I have no idea but I did fomo and bought about 150k pieces at around 0.005 hive a piece hoping for a quick profit.

So yeah. Go fomo too so I can unload my bags on you :)

That would make packs and amaze very expensive. I would think the price will stay pegged near $1 per 1000 unless the team changes the game pricing.

I don't think so unless/until Splinterlands removes their par value on DEC for purchases.

That doesnt mean anything. There is no par value. For most of the last year DEC has been trading at 40% of its "par value". Add to that the RNG for pack purchases and the fact the pack average value of cards is below the DEC burn value and even the market price.

The par they established 2000-2$ is stupid. All it does is constraint one side of the equation and provide a value ceiling for DEC while the bottom is unknown..
Without external influence (what we want) DEC will always trade under it as it did this last year. At 40% of the "par".

The side that has the most growth potential, that can pull the card values with it is DEC, because DEC is a token that can position itself alongside all other tokens and is easily understandable to investors. They dont care about card NFTs.

The peg or par as you call it is pointless. Pump a few thousand k into DEC and the peg breaks. Its useless. Serves only to create a pretense to Aggroed and Matt that they can control value stability ingame.
They absolutely cannot.

Peg values and par values are different things. The 1:1000 isn't defended actively, so it's not a peg. It's a par because it can be redeemed for goods and services at a specific value.

Sure. My point is that the set value is fairly meaningless and only serves as a constraint, a psychological ceiling on the price of DEC while DEC is what is the most easily understood part of the whole equation and has the most potential to reach investors.

I Dmed @yabapmatt that the current incentives for providing liquidity SUCK and that they only mean something to current players.
I mean theyre awesome to me thats a player, but when you list a token on Uniswap you need to take into account those that dont care about ingame incentives.
Why would you even list it anywhere else then? Just keep it on Hive Engine and give out free land randomly. .

It makes no sense. Its quite stupid actually. You want investors, you want people beyond your player base to get interested.

Im quite disappointed with how they decided to do this. Theres one more piece of news coming up this month im waiting for before i exit (partially).

People are gonna be burning cards like crazy if it 10 times!

People are going a little crazy for LAND I think so you never know.

I've got around 900K DEC so I wouldn't say no to a pump like that.

Like many others I've been stacking it for LAND. And the rewards pool is pretty generous so it's worth piling in to.

The only problem I've got is the risk of losing too much if I stake it, so I've only put in 300K.

I'd hate it if some fucker bought so much that I missed out on the discount presale for buying 100 plots.

Lol FOMO can be a blessing and a curse as well. But who knows? Dec is pretty decent and it should pull through some gains. More money more lambos

I am also curious what will happen to DEC. By the way, probably, in the near future we will some other Hive-Engine tokens listed on Uniswap as well.
