Hola a toda la comunidad de hive, espero se encuentren súper bien❤️ Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la historia de alguien muy especial para mí, el responsable de transmitirnos ese gran talento y amor por la música denominado personalmente como el "músico mayor"😍.

Hello to all the community of hive, I hope you are feeling super well. Today I want to share with you the story of someone very special to me, the one responsible for transmitting that great talent and love for music known personally as the "elder musician".

Se trata únicamente de mi abuelo Abel Magallanes apodado "Magallanes" quién nació un 25 de Noviembre de 1921 en Quitó Ecuador. Fue un músico trompetista con gran destreza en este instrumento quién tuvo la oportunidad de tocar con diversas agrupaciones importantes de la época.

This is only my grandfather Abel Magallanes nicknamed "Magallanes" who was born on November 25, 1921 in Quitó Ecuador. He was a trumpet player with great skill on this instrument who had the opportunity to play with several important groups of the time.

Su niñez fue una época totalmente difícil ya que sus padres eran de escasos recursos por lo que desde muy pequeño el y sus hermanos tuvieron que salir de casa para trabajar y ayudar a solventar los gatos del hogar.

His childhood was a totally difficult time since his parents were of scarce resources so from a very young age he and his siblings had to leave home to work and help pay for the cats in the house.

Aunque mi abuelo era nacido en ecuador gracias a la música logro tener posibilidades para viajar por diversos paises de Latinoamérica logrando conocer Panamá, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica y por supuesto Venezuela, país que lo recibió con los brazos abiertos y además le brindo cabida para vivir sus últimos años de vida.

Although my grandfather was born in Ecuador, thanks to music he was able to travel through several Latin American countries, getting to know Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and of course Venezuela, a country that welcomed him with open arms and also gave him a place to live his last years of life.

Estando en Panamá tocando para el circo "Dumbol" mi abuelo conoció a una persona muy especial, mi abuela "Melva" quién para ese entonces también trabajaba allí. Posteriormente, según lo que me cuenta mi familia se enamoraron y tuvieron tres hermosos hijos de los cuales dos de ellos actualmente siguen sus pasos.

While in Panama playing for the circus "Dumbol" my grandfather met a very special person, my grandmother "Melva" who by that time was also working there. Later, according to what my family tells me, they fell in love and had three beautiful children, two of whom are currently following in her footsteps.

Cabe destacar que ser músico en esa época era algo bastante difícil ya que ser "músico" como tal se consideraba algo informal fomentando muchos mal entendidos, malos convenios, malos tratos y además, inconvenientes al momento de pagarles a los artistas su respectivo dinero por el servicio ofrecido.

It should be noted that being a musician at that time was quite difficult since being a "musician" as such was considered something informal promoting many misunderstandings, bad agreements, mistreatment and also, inconveniences at the time of paying the artists their respective money for the service offered.

Aunque es difícil de comprender actualmente aún existen personas que denigran esta profesión por el pasado que envuelve a diversos músicos o agrupaciones controversiales sin embargo, hoy día este oficio ya no está catalogado como un "hobbi" sino como una carrera universitaria desplegada a nivel mundial.

Although it is difficult to understand at present there are still people who denigrate this profession because of the past involving various musicians or controversial groups, however, today this trade is no longer classified as a "hobby" but as a university career deployed worldwide.

Siguiendo con el tema principal mi abuelo Abel logró destacarse como trompetista solista en diversos escenarios de gran importancia alternando con grandes artistas tales como: Daniel Santos, Olga Gillot, Arnulfo Trujillo (El negrito del sabor), Rafa Moreira, La Lupe y Nelson Pineda.

Continuing with the main theme, my grandfather Abel managed to stand out as a solo trumpet player on various important stages alternating with great artists such as: Daniel Santos, Olga Gillot, Arnulfo Trujillo (El negrito del sabor), Rafa Moreira, La Lupe and Nelson Pineda.

Luego de esto, incursionó en el ámbito de la dirección tomando el rol de director musical en otras agrupaciones bailables tales como: Los Chavales de Madrid, la orquesta del Circo Dumbar, Orquesta Máximo Rodríguez, Orquesta H.R.N de honduras, Juvenil Mini Combo, Los Brillantes de Caracas, Orlando y su Combo, y el Combo de la DIRSOP conocido en la actualidad como el Combo de la FAPET.

After this, he entered the field of direction taking the role of musical director in other dance groups such as: Los Chavales de Madrid, the Circo Dumbar Orchestra, Orquesta Máximo Rodríguez, Orquesta H.R.N de honduras, Juvenil Mini Combo, Los Brillantes de Caracas, Orlando y su Combo, and the DIRSOP Combo known today as the FAPET Combo.

Posteriormente logró nacionalizarse en Venezuela estableciéndose en la ciudad de San Cristóbal Estado Táchira, fomentando su talento musical en las orquestas que en ese entonces eran de gran relevancia en las famosas ferias de "San Sebastián" formando parte de la "Banda Taurina" como ejecutante de clarines y timbales.

Later he managed to nationalize in Venezuela, establishing himself in the city of San Cristóbal Táchira State, promoting his musical talent in the orchestras that at that time were of great relevance in the famous "San Sebastián" fairs, being part of the "Banda Taurina" (Bullfighting Band) as a clarinet and timpani player.

Alrededor de los años 50 tuvo la responsabilidad de ejecutar la primera Trompeta para interpretar diversos temas del repertorio popular bailable de la época con una línea musical de estilo caribeño dando impecables presentaciones al público deseoso de repertorio bailable. Además, estuvo implicado en el comienzo de estilo y auge que representó grandemente a latinoamérica.

Around the 1950s he was responsible for running the first Trumpet to interpret various themes of the popular dance repertoire of the time with a musical line of Caribbean style giving impeccable presentations to the public eager for dance repertoire. In addition, he was involved in the beginning of style and boom that greatly represented Latin America.

Finalmente hace seis años que mi abuelo ya no está con nosotros sin embargo, estoy muy feliz de que haya sido el pionero musical en mi familia ya que gracias a esto, logramos encontrar lo que realmente nos apasiona. Su trayectoria musical quedará siempre en la historia de nuestras vidas y de quienes lo conocieron para llenarnos de gran inspiración❤️.

Finally, it has been six years since my grandfather is no longer with us, however, I am very happy that he has been the musical pioneer in my family, because thanks to this, we have managed to find what we are really passionate about. His musical career will always remain in the history of our lives and of those who knew him to fill us with great inspiration.
