Introduction

Hi everyone @LivingUKTaiwan here with today's 995th edition of the #TravelDigest. We closing in on the 1000th edition with less than a week to go. You remember I said last week we're going to celebrate with a massive gigantic big BANG? Well, that massive gigantic big BANG is getting even bigger than we could have ever imagined, I'm not sure if we've seen anything like that on Hive before!! The 1000th Travel Digest is due next Tuesday 14th October, the day before Eclipse Hardfork 24. So we're monitoring things closely on when we will announce our celebration details. Stay tuned.

All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @pinmapple, @blocktrades, @theycallmedan and the curation trail. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

Our winners today 🍍

🥇 Meeting the Dolomites in Bolzano / Al encuentro de los Dolomitas en Bolzano by @gracielaacevedo

In the twilight hours, however, the pale mountains are stained white, pink and violet, offering a magnificent spectacle that varies according to the admospheric conditions. The locals call this phenomenon La enrosadira. Legend has it that King Laurino turned his rose garden to stone so that his enemies, who had conquered his kingdom, could not enjoy it, day or night.

🥈 Beautiful Norway by @michelmake

Once in Norway, we drove straight to the area around one of Norway's higher mountain peaks called Galdhøpiggen in the Jotunheimen area. We arrived just after midday. Our goal was to hike up this mountain the next day. But of coarse, as avid cyclist that we are, we had to do some riding first! We planned to directly challenge ourselves after sitting in a car for too long!

🥉 [Esp-Eng] Mi encuentro con Mucuchíes, el perro venezolano / My meeting with Mucuchíes, the Venezuelan dog by @sofathana

After knowing this monument and a little of the history of this breed of dogs, we continue the tour through the Merida moorland and we arrive at the town of San Rafael de Mucuchíes to visit the Juan Félix Sánchez chapel, made entirely of stone by this famous man of the local culture. It was there while I was taking photos of the place that I walked a little further and I saw a man who was on the road selling some puppies.
