This is my first post in this great and magnificent community.

I will like to educate you gais on the meaning of diabetes ,the Symptoms,types and causes.

Meaning of Diabetes
Diabetes is the condition in which the body does not process the food intake in the body for use as energy.It is also a metabolic disease that causes high blood sugar .it involves the body not providing enough insulin,or the body can use the insulin produced by the body effectively.

Insulin:Is an anabolic hormone that regulates the metabolism of carbohydrates ,and break it down to glucose,a sugar that is the body's primary source of energy ,before it enters into the bloodstream.There are majorly two types of Diabetes namely;

.Type 1 diabetes or juvenile diabetes and

.Type 2 diabetes.

The type 1 diabetes occurs when the pancreas produces little or no insulin. It can appear at any age,but it mostly affects children between 0-14 years Old.
Pancreas :is an organ that helps in digestion and also regulates blood sugar in the body.
The country with the most cases of this disease is Finland with over 62.5 per 100,000 in a year .It has affected over 5% of the world population.The exact course of this type 1 disease is unknown,the body,s immune system which fights harmful virus and bacteria mistakenly destroys the insulin producing cells in in the pancreas,and it can't be cured.

Type 2 diabetes:This occurs when the body doesn't produce enough insulin or the body cells doesn't react to insulin.It often appears in people over 45 years of age.
Causes of the type 2 diabetes includes
.Eating processed meats like bacon,hot dogs ,deli meats e.t.c
.Storing of excess fat in the abdomen.
.Cells in the muscles.
Being overweight or obese and so on.
There are three countries affected mostly by this disease India ,China ,and the United States of America (U.S.A).It has affected over 85-90 % of the world population.

Symptoms of diabetes
. Frequent urination
.Poor wound healing
.Hunger
. blurred vision
. weight loss
. Excessive thirst e.t.c

.At times the type 2 diabetes doesn't show any symptom.

Control measures
.Eating healthy foods.
. Regular Exercising of the body.
.Checking blood sugar levels
.Taking medicines as subscribed by the doctors and so on.

Diabetes complications
.Eye damage.
.kidney damage.
.Skin conditions.
. infertility in human body:The oxydative stress caused due to high glucose levels damages the Deoxyribonucleic acid(D.N.A)of the sperm.
. Hypertension-This a condition by which the force of the blood against the artery wall is too high
. Cardiovascular disease.These are diseases that affects the heart and the blood vessels.

Diabetes is a very dangerous and harmful disease that can't be cured ,and so if you notice any Symptom of the disease , please ensure to visit a professional medical doctor for proper check-up.
