Restore the color of a plastic toilet seat (WC) || Restaurando el color a un asiento plástico de poceta (WC)

Yesterday I started to wash the bathroom in the main room of the apartment, my wife had told me that she wanted to change the toilet seat, because it had lost its color, yes friends, the seat of the cup or the toilet had some yellowish parts, its color white looked beige, after washing the toilet, I could see that this toilet seat could be recovered and without much thought I decided to repair it.

|Process:|Poceso|

- After removing the toilet seat. I began to carefully scrape the piece, we must do the scraping very carefully, trying to lightly scrape the surface of the piece, we must avoid deep scratches, I did this work with the help of a knife and a spatula.- Después de quitar el asiento del WC. comencé a raspar con cuidado la pieza, el raspado lo debemos hacer con mucho cuidado, tratando de raspar levemente la superficie de la pieza, hay que evitar rayones profundos, este trabajo lo hice con la ayuda de una navaja y espátula.

- After scraping, we will proceed to sand the surface of the piece, first we will use 320 grit sandpaper then we will use 400 sandpaper and for the finish we will apply 800 or 1000 grit water sandpaper. We must sand the piece well ensuring that It is without scratches, we will work the sandpaper 1000 with water.- Después del raspado, procederemos a lijar la superficie de la pieza, primero usaremos lija grano 320 luego utilizamos lija 400 y para el acabado aplicaremos lija de agua grano 800 o 1000. Debemos lijar bien la pieza procurando que esta quede sin rayas, la lija 1000 la trabajaremos con agua.

Recommendations: We must do this work with great patience, we must be very careful when scraping the piece so as not to damage it, after this comes the sanding to correct the details of the entire surface, sand until the scratch marks, the surface must be left without details, as if we were going to paint a car.
- Once the piece is ready, we will apply a polishing cream, this cream is used to polish the paint of the cars, after applying the cream we wait 30 minutes and with a cloth we rub the surface until we get the shine, the truth is that the toilet seat was like new, my wife gave the go-ahead to this job.- Una vez que la pieza este lista, aplicaremos un pulimento en crema, esta crema es la que se usa para pulir la pintura de los carros, luego de aplicar la crema esperamos 30 minutos y con un paño frotamos la superficie hasta conseguir el brillo, la verdad es que el asiento de la poceta ( WC) quedo como nuevo, mi esposa le dio el visto bueno a este trabajo.
