Why was Jesus Christ baptised despite being sinless (part 1 of 2)

  • Actually Baptism is a part of fulfilment of what is being written

Matthew 3:13-15 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

  • Jesus came to the world so as to fulfill all righteousness

Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

  • Everything is done, he was here to do all the things he should of which Baptism is part of it

Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

  • Concerning John and Lord Jesus Christ, Isiah 40:3 talk about it

Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
