[ESP/ENG] SIMILITUDES ENTRE ESTAS SERIES / SIMILITIES BETWEEN THESE SERIES
¡Buenas Hivers! Hace bastante tiempo no pasaba por estos lares, desafortunadamente los tiempos no corrieron a mi favor y por ello, no había aparecido en semanas por aquí, pero el día de hoy traigo un tema para conversar de algo que llevo en mente desde que empecé a ver una de estas series. Me considero adicta a los kdramas, lo mencioné creo que en mi primer post.Me he visto alrededor de unos ochenta dramas en lo que va de nueves años que llevo conociendo su existencia; considero realmente que son pocos, pero los veo siempre que consigo tiempo y si me llaman la atención, porque puede que sean muy famosos, pero si no me atraen de ninguna forma, ni lo miro.
Good Hivers! It's been a while since I've been around these parts, unfortunately times were not in my favor and that's why I haven't been around here for weeks, but today I bring a topic to talk about something I've been thinking about since I started watching one of these series. I consider myself addicted to kdramas, I think I mentioned it in my first post, I have seen about eighty dramas so far in the nine years that I have known of their existence; I really consider that they are few, but I watch them whenever I have time and if they catch my attention, because they may be very famous, but if they do not attract me in any way, I don't even watch them.
Primero que nada estaré hablando sobre tres kdramas específicos, de los cuales te daré una breve sinopsis.
First of all I will be talking about three specific kdramas, of which I will give you a brief synopsis.
Ji Sun Woo es una doctora de medicina familiar... Y a su vez , Lee Tae Oh sueña con convertirse en un famoso director de cine y dirige un negocio de entretenimiento con el apoyo de su esposa Ji Sun Woo. A pesar de que ama a su esposa, Lee Tae Oh cae en una relación peligrosa la cuál posiblemente afectará su matrimonio.
Ji Sun Woo is a family doctor... And in turn, Lee Tae Oh dreams of becoming a famous movie director and runs an entertainment business with the support of his wife Ji Sun Woo. Although he loves his wife, Lee Tae Oh falls into a dangerous relationship which will possibly affect his marriage.
El drama gira en torno a las vidas de las amas de casa que viven en una lujosa área residencial llamada Sky Castle en los suburbios de Seúl. Quienes tratan de hacer que sus esposos sean más exitosos y criar a sus hijos como príncipes y princesas.
The drama revolves around the lives of housewives living in a luxurious residential area called Sky Castle in the suburbs of Seoul. Who try to make their husbands more successful and raise their children as princes and princesses.

The story takes place in a 100-story luxury building, exclusive for the wealthiest in society, and centers on three women: penthouse "queen" Shim Soo Ryun, "prima donna" Chun Seo Jin who will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and Oh Yoon Hee, who will do anything to enter that high-society world and puts everything on the line to achieve her goal and help her daughter fulfill her dreams, even if she gradually becomes a monster.

Comenzaremos hablando de las similitudes que presentan el drama the world of the married con the penthouse. En ambos presentan a parejas adineradas y felices, quienes lucharon de mil formas para llegar adonde se encuentran, pero según nos muestran no todo el color de rosas debido a que las tentaciones a algunos de estos personajes los enloquecieron. Aunque en The Penthouse las infidelidades se crearon para intentar ser más exitosos y conseguir más poder y dinero del que ya poseían, en The world of married, uno de ellos aunque afirmó estar enamorado e incluso casarse y vivir feliz con su amante, el padre de esta fue quien le ayudó a fundar una empresa más grande y exitosa. Pero, ¿El matrimonio de estos personajes infieles con sus amantes fue realmente por amor, y... terminaron bien? No quiero hacerles más spoilers así que les invito a verlas.
Let's start by talking about the similarities between the drama the world of the married and the penthouse. In both they present wealthy and happy couples, who struggled in a thousand ways to get to where they are, but according to what we are shown, not everything is rosy because temptations drove some of these characters crazy. Although in The Penthouse infidelities were created to try to be more successful and get more power and money than they already had, in The world of married, one of them, although he claimed to be in love and even married and live happily with his mistress, her father was the one who helped him to found a bigger and more successful company. But, was the marriage of these unfaithful characters with their mistresses really for love, and? did they end well? I don't want to give you any more spoilers so I invite you to watch them.
Aunque TWOTM Y THE PENTHOUSE tengan muchas similitudes, es momento de hablar de las increibles similitudes que pueden llegar a tener Sky Castle con The Penthouse.

En ambos dramas se muestra como un grupo de jóvenes adolescentes son dirigidos por sus padres para conseguir la perfección en sus estudios, a algunos les contratan profesores privados y otros tienen que estudiar por su cuenta debido a su falta de dinero. En SkyCastle la mayoría de los jóvenes al igual que en Penthouse son de familia adinerada por ende tienen mayores facilidades pero hay que destacar una de sus mayores similitudes y es que en ambas series uno de sus mejores estudiantes son de familia pobre. Ambas son mujeres.
In both dramas it is shown how a group of young teenagers are directed by their parents to achieve perfection in their studies, some are hired private teachers and others have to study on their own due to their lack of money. In SkyCastle most of the young people as in Penthouse are from wealthy families and therefore have greater facilities but one of their greatest similarities is that in both series one of the best students are from a poor family. Both are women.
La mayor de las similitudes que poseen estas series son estos personajes en específico, debido a que ambas son de escasos recursos y son marginadas por las personas que tienen dinero, de hecho han llegado al lugar en el que se encuentran, y buscan llegar a dónde quieren por méritos propios. Aunque debido a que las familias ricas les tienden a hacer la vida imposible ya que con sus buenos promedios intimidan a sus hijos, éstas tienen que recurrir al chantaje de las personas mayores quiénes son las mentes maestras en todo aquello a lo que estudios de sus hijos competen.
The main similarities that these series have are these specific characters, because both are poor and are marginalized by people who have money, in fact they have reached the place where they are, and seek to get where they want on their own merits. However, because the rich families tend to make life impossible for them, since they intimidate their children with their good grades, they have to resort to the blackmail of the older people who are the masterminds in everything related to their children's studies.
Ambas consiguen documentos e información para chantajear a los padres de sus compañeros pero lo que no sabían es que esto posiblemente podrían causarles un daño irreparable, ya que al ser personas adineradas pueden cubrir cualquier escándalo en el que se vean envueltos.
Both get documents and information to blackmail the parents of their classmates but what they did not know is that this could possibly cause them irreparable damage, since being wealthy people they can cover up any scandal in which they are involved.
Quizá creyeron que sus planes estaban perfectamente bien realizados pero lo que no sabían es que ellos siempre van un paso adelante y para conseguir el éxito de sus hijos tendrían que quitar todo obstáculo que tengan enfrente por ello lastimosamente ambos personajes murieron y de la misma forma.
Maybe they believed that their plans were perfectly well done but what they didn't know is that they are always one step ahead and to achieve their children's success they would have to remove every obstacle in front of them that's why sadly both characters died and in the same way.
Realmente o quisiera dar más spoilers de estas increíbles series que realmente no te puedes perder, cada capítulo es algo nuevo para contar, te dejan con ansias de ver el siguiente, y aunque así como tienen similitudes a simple vista, hay muchos detalles que no he contado porque son especiales en cada serie. I really don't want to give more spoilers of these incredible series that you really can't miss, each chapter is something new to tell, they leave you eager to see the next one, and although they have similarities at first glance, there are many details that I haven't told you because they are special in each series.
