I've been enjoying the daytime hybrids lately, they have that extra zing with minimal lack of motivation. As I blazed up a bowl of God Bud, I was not surprised to hear that the Canadian 'black market' sales of cannabis are still high.

God Bud

The God Bud 50/50 balanced hybrid cannabis strain was created with the crossing of the the Purple Skunk and Hawaii strains (Source). God Bud has an average 18%-22% THC.

This indoor grown multi-color God Bud has vibrant dark and light greens, splashes of bright purple, spindly bright orange pistils, and a resinous and thick coating of white and amber trichomes. The sweet pungent earthy chocolate coffee scent and flavor is from the terpenes - including 2.46% Linalool (floral flavor, lavender, birch), 0.58% Caryophyllene (peppery scent/flavor), 0.57% Caryophyllene oxide, 0.43% alpha-Pinene, and less than 0.01% of the Myrcene, beta-Pinene, Limonene, Humulene, and Terpinolene terpenes (Source).

Cannabis 'Black Market' Still Thriving in Canada

Canada legalized and regulated recreational cannabis on October 17th, 2018 - legal cannabis cultivators, product manufacturers, and points of sale are licensed, regulated, and taxed. Unfortunately the regulation is set up in such a way that there are limited licenses and large start up costs - many smaller companies were quickly purchased by large multi-national corporations that don't mind cutting corners for the bottom line. In spite of the tightly regulated legal market, the non-licensed 'black market' sale of cannabis remains high in Canada - through online mail order and non-licensed store front sales. The west coast cannabis pioneering province of British Columbia is leading the way with legal sales of cannabis capturing only 36% of the market, and 64% going to non-licensed sales. Many of the licensed cannabis companies, and large investors, are not happy with the people not choosing their cannabis, and have asked the government to do more to stop the non-licensed cultivation and sales - they would like to see legislation reform. The non-licensed growers and sellers would like to see regulation reform or removal. The Public Health Minister believes that the sales will grow as the market evolves, people become more accustomed, and when it's made more available with additional legal store fronts (Source). The saving grace from the markets for many is being able to grow your own at home for personal use, but I would like to see easier and cheaper licensing, with less regulation, so there is a place in the market for the smaller and high quality growers and sellers of cannabis.

The Roll Up

I reached for the Sherlock Pipe for the God Bud tokes. The shape of the pipe gives a nice view of the bowl when blazing.

Sweet and sour, fruity chocolate skunky citrus pine zest, and light spice flavor from the God Bud tokes - bright terpenes.

An instant euphoric rush that quickly smooths to a calm and cushioned, stress relieving buzz - relaxed eye lids, balanced energy with good motivation, and a light haze. I'll save these smooth and balanced God Buds for mornings, afternoons, or early evenings.
