Hola Comunidad HIVE

photo_2021-05-02_21-38-18.jpg

Warm greetings to this beautiful community. We all love to wear comfortable outfits, but if they are also cute and have an elegant touch it's fantastic.

Today I want to show you the step by step making of a brick colored shirt made of jersey fabric, very simple but with a touch of decoration using a piece of sequin fabric I gave it a very nice elegant touch. Ideal to use in a meeting with friends and you will see that you will shine.

Paso a Paso | Step by Step

photo_2021-05-02_21-48-58.jpg

1.- On a table or large table place the fabric respecting its elastic. That is to say, where it stretches the most. Fold the fabric to cut the first piece of our shirt that will be the front.

photo_2021-05-02_21-44-07.jpg

2.- We place on top of our measurement folded vertically in half. We cut as our measurement leaving the cm of seam at the sides and the hem that our shirt will have.

photo_2021-05-02_21-43-40.jpg

3.- We repeat the previous process but now to cut our back. The front and the back differ in the collar, in the front the collar is a little lower.

4.- We fold the fabric again to cut the sleeves which are cut as the sleeve of the measurement, respecting the same cm of seam allowance.

5.- Cut a strip 3.5 cm wide and the length of the collar minus 25%. This so that when gluing it does not remain wide or as faralao.

6.- We take our measure in the front part and on top we place the sequins fabric and cut depending on the space we want to decorate. In this, cut a strip of the width of the measure but approximately 8 cm high. It will only be for the breast part.

7.- Once all the pieces are cut, we proceed to sew. The first thing we sew is the sequin fabric to the front of the shirt, in the place previously chosen. We fix it with the help of pins and then we will sew two seams, one on the top and one on the bottom of the sequin fabric.

8.- We join the front and the back, starting at the shoulders, making a straight seam and then a zig zag seam.

9.- We join the sleeves to the previous piece making a seam in the seam allowance.

photo_2021-05-02_21-42-10.jpg

10.- We make the hem of the sleeves by making a double inward seam and sew.

photo_2021-05-02_21-42-01.jpg

11.- Cosemos los laterales de la camisa. Comenzando desde la manga.
11.- Sew the sides of the shirt. Starting from the sleeve.

photo_2021-05-02_21-39-24.jpg

12.- We make the hem of our shirt by folding inwards and sewing the corresponding seam.

photo_2021-05-02_21-38-53.jpg

13.- We sew the collar strip to our shirt, stretching the strip a little to cover the whole collar. Remember that the strip is cut smaller than the size of the collar and that is why it should be stretched when sewing it. Remember that the strip is cut smaller than the size of the neck and should therefore be stretched as it is cooked.

Hola,

Saludos
