In the company of his horse, Billy Bob (the main character of the game) has arrived in Hicksville with the objective of eliminating all those who try to steal the greatest wealth of the village, the gold, but this will not be an easy task, since an enormous amount of outlaws are the ones who stalk the place, accompanied by dangerous weapons and bombs.

The game was presented with a top view, and a vertical displacement of the character, which was done automatically, where we could only move our character horizontally to dodge and aim at enemies and barrels that appeared in the way.

The game had a bonus system, which we could find in different ways, one was finishing with the enemies, and another destroying some barrels that were appearing on the map, these, released elements such as money, lives in the form of yashichi, weapons, ammunition and boots, the latter gave significant improvements to our character, increasing its firing range, increasing the speed of the shots and giving greater speed respectively with each bonus.

Also, at some points, we found our horse, which gave us a backup of lives, three to be more specific, and once we were touched or intercepted that amount of times, our horse died and we continued the way on foot.

An element that added positively to the game, was the manual direction of our shots, with the B button we aimed at an approximate angle of 45 degrees to the left, and with A, we shot 45 degrees to the right, although also, if we combined both buttons, it was possible to shoot vertically to our enemies.

At the beginning of each level, we saw a poster with the name of each thief, the weapon with which he specialized and finally the reward that was given for catching them, with this we got an idea of how the battle against these ruffians would be at the end of each level.

Once we completed the level, the thieves' sign appeared again, but this time with a shooting animation, indicating that they had already been eliminated, and at the same time we were given the monetary reward.

The money that we were getting along each level, and to finish with the thieves, we could spend it in improvements of our character, something curious, is that those who sold us these weapons, were the same residents of Hicksville, and they left us some message of support in the screen of purchase of improvements, that being this way they should have been weapons given for improvements of our character, since we were helping them to finish with the bad guys.

BANDIDO 3 MUNDO.png

The appearance of each outlaw gave us an indication of how the game map we would enter, a clear example of this happened with our third objective in the game, who was Devil Hawk, with an Indian appearance, and his game scenario was in a tribe, in which the other outlaws were quite fast and difficult to kill, I can even remember that this was beginning to be one of the levels that showed the high difficulty of the game in the more advanced levels. This variation of objectives and game scenarios was quite good to break the monotony and at least, not to always see the same scenarios, as it would have been quite exhausting for our sight, but all these details were very well taken into account by the developers, and it is not for less, after having been such a highly praised game.

Gun Smoke: Los cazarrecompensas del viejo oeste

PORTADA.png
