Una de mis series animadas japonesas favoritas o también conocidas como "anime" es Initial D, una serie basada en las carreras callejeras o clandestinas.
Esta serie marcó parte de mi infancia por tratarse de coches, desde que tengo uso de razón siempre he estado rodeado de coches debido a que mi padre tiene un taller de coches. Para mí esta serie tuvo mucha influencia en el deseo de aprender más sobre los coches y el estilo de conducción, aunque el estilo de conducción está lejos de ser aplicado en mi vida me enseñó el significado de muchas cosas técnicas sobre la conducción ya que la información que se muestra en esta serie es realista. La serie procede de un manga japonés escrito e ilustrado por Shuichi Shigeno, publicado en 1995. Fue adaptada a una serie de anime por Avex.

One of my favorite Japanese animated series or also known as "anime" is Initial D, a series based on street or underground racing.
This series marked part of my childhood because it was about cars, since I can remember I have always been surrounded by cars due to the fact that my father has an auto shop. For me this series had a lot of influence in the desire to learn more about cars and driving style, although the driving style is far from being applied in my life it taught me the meaning of many technical things about driving since the information shown in this series is realistic. The series comes from a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno, published in 1995. It was adapted into an anime series by Avex.
Sinopsis
Initial D es una historia centrada en un estudiante de secundaria llamado Takumi Fujiwara, de 18 años que pasa su tiempo libre trabajando en una gasolinera con sus dos amigos Itsuki que no para de hablar de sus coches favoritos e Iketani que es un poco mayor que ellos y es el líder del grupo local de pilotos callejeros conocido como los Akina Speedstar.
Takumi también ayuda a su padre Bunta en la tienda, encargado de repartir el tofu que venden y por eso Takumi se ha puesto al volante de un Toyota AE86 también conocido como Hachi-Roku que pertenece a su padre Bunta. Aunque a Takumi no le interesan los coches ni las carreras, utiliza técnicas de derrape para llegar rápidamente a su destino y las practica en el monte Akina, una zona a la que viaja mucho para sus entregas de tofu a un hotel. En una de sus entregas, se cruza con un Mazda Rx7 conducido por Keisuke, un miembro del equipo de los Soles Rojos, que queda aturdido tras ser adelantado en una curva a toda velocidad por Takumi en su Toyota AE86. A partir de ahí, Takumi comienza su andadura como piloto callejero.
Synopsis
Initial D is a story centered on a high school student named Takumi Fujiwara, 18 years old who spends his free time working at a gas station with his two friends Itsuki who keeps talking about his favorite cars and Iketani who is a little older than them and is the leader of the local street racer group known as the Akina Speedstar.
Takumi also helps his father Bunta at the store, in charge of delivering the tofu they sell and so Takumi has taken the wheel of a Toyota AE86 also known as Hachi-Roku that belongs to his father Bunta. Although Takumi is not interested in cars or racing, he uses drifting techniques to get to his destination quickly and practices them in Mt. Akina, an area he travels to a lot for his tofu deliveries to a hotel. On one of his deliveries, he comes across a Mazda Rx7 driven by Keisuke, a member of the Red Suns team, who is stunned after being overtaken on a curve at full speed by Takumi in his Toyota AE86. From there, Takumi begins his journey as a street racer.

Es el personaje principal y uno de mis favoritos por su personalidad y la forma en que despertó su interés por el mundo de los coches y las carreras, una de las cosas interesantes de este personaje es que a pesar de no tener conocimientos de carreras era un joven con un talento innato al volante, y aunque su coche era de poca potencia podía llevarlo al límite y podía controlarlo como si fuera una extremidad de su cuerpo. Me identifiqué con su personalidad ya que era muy relajado, tranquilo y no se dejaba intimidar por nadie.

Takumi Fujiwara
Is the main character and one of my favorites because of his personality and the way he awakened his interest in the world of cars and racing, one of the interesting things about this character is that despite having no knowledge of racing he was a young man with an innate talent at the wheel, and although his car was of low horsepower he could take it to the limit and could control it as if it were a limb of his body. I identified with his personality as he was very relaxed, quiet and not intimidated by just anyone.
Ryosuke Takahashi
Este es otro de mis personajes favoritos, por el hecho de que su personalidad es muy analítica y no expresa emociones. Me gusta mucho su estilo de conducción por el hecho de que estudia los puntos débiles de su oponente. Me gusta su nombre de corredor solitario, conocido como la cometa blanca de Akagi.
Ryosuke Takahashi
This is another one of my favorite characters, because of the fact that his personality is very analytical and doesn't express emotions. I really liked his driving style because of the fact that he studied his opponent's weak points. I like his name as a lone racer, known as Akagi's white kite.

Esta escena muestra el punto de quiebre del personaje donde se deja llevar por sus emociones mientras conduce, esto se debe a que en capítulos anteriores recibió notas anónimas donde hablaban de la chica con la que salía, que además de él salía con un hombre mayor que ella sumado a esto Takumi decidió desafiar a Kyoichi Sudo en el territorio de los soles rojos sin tomar en cuenta que el auto al que se enfrentaría sería superior al suyo, Sin embargo, su rival le dio la ventaja de salir primero y luego lo superó y le dio a entender que podía tener una buena técnica y aun así no ser suficiente, por lo que Takumi comienza a sentirse frustrado por no poder acercarse ni un poco a él y así llevar el A86 al límite rompiendo el motor.
En ese momento se puede ver una reflexión desde la perspectiva de Takumi, insinuando el arrepentimiento que siente por dejarse llevar por sus emociones causando un gran daño a su coche por el que siente un gran apego.
My favorite scene

El resto recomiendo ver la serie a los amantes de los coches y las carreras, en mi opinión sería bueno que esta serie fuera remasterizada completamente, ya que solo remasterizaron los tres primeros episodios de la primera temporada.
The rest I recommend watching the series to car and racing lovers, in my opinion it would be good if this series was completely remastered, since they only remastered the first three episodes of the first season.
