Recently I had the opportunity to try out the Village Bistro at Beach House. It's a restaurant that relocated a couple of years ago. They have a lengthy menu of tapas and entrees with a Mediterranean twist. I went with my parents @michaeljagoe and @sjagoe.

Lavender Lady

I got things started with a Lavender Lady. It was a strong cocktail that consisted of Nolet’s Dry Silver Gin and Wild Moon Lavender Liqueur.

Wrapped Goat Cheese

We ordered a bunch of tapas for the table. The first thing we got was the Goat Cheese Wrapped In Prosciutto & Cranberries, topped with Balsamic. They were served like little sticks as seen in the photo below. These were absolutely delicious. The creamy goat cheese was the perfect filling for the prosciutto.

Chicken Quesadilla

Next we ordered a Chicken Quesadilla. It was two tortillas filled with seasoned grilled chicken, chipotle pesto sauce, and mixed cheese. It was served with spicy mayo for dipping. Overall it was a flavorful quesadilla.

Caesar Salad with French Fries

We split a Caesar salad which consisted of Romaine lettuce topped with house-made herb croutons and parmasean cheese, then tossed with house-made Caesar dressing. We also got an order of french fries... because you can't go wrong with french fries.

Flank Steak

Last but not least, we had a lovely Flank Steak. It was marinated for 36 hours in beer, herbs & spices and served with a chickpea puree, chimichurri and pickled red onion. The meat was ridiculously flavorful and tender. It was definitely my favorite part of the meal.

Overall, the Village Bistro at Beach House is a nice place to get some tapas in Milford, Connecticut. They have a sprawling menu with many options that are good to share with the table. I hope to be back again soon!
