¿Qué harías si no hubiesen consecuencias? | What would you do if there were no consequences? [ESP/ENG]

Saludos Hivers, en este día veinticuatro la pregunta del Challenge tiene que ver con estados de aparente insatisfacción ocasionada por restricciones de todo tipo, sanitarias, sociales o personales: ¿qué harías si no hubiesen consecuencias?

Greetings Hivers, on this twenty-fourth day the Challenge question has to do with states of apparent dissatisfaction caused by restrictions of all kinds, health, social or personal: what would you do if there were no consequences?

A veces podemos pensar que las normas sociales son innecesarias, incomprensibles y desagradables. Pero si cada uno hace lo que mejor le parece sencillamente no pudiéramos vivir, no todos comparten el mismo criterio de lo que es responsabilidad. Por eso lo mejor es crear consensos y a partir de ellos establecer las normas para cada grupo humano, lo que indudablemente siempre, siempre, planteará algunas restricciones a la libertad.

Sometimes we may think that social norms are unnecessary, incomprehensible and unpleasant. But if everyone does what they think is best, we would simply not be able to live, not everyone shares the same criteria of what is responsibility. That is why the best thing to do is to create consensus and from that to establish the rules for each human group, which undoubtedly always, always, will pose some restrictions to freedom.

Hay un lema creado por la agrupación de Flamenco fusión, Pata Negra, y que tiene que ver con la pregunta de hoy, ellos decían: "Todo lo que me gusta es ilegal, es inmoral o engorda". En esta sentencia hay cierto pesar, cierto malestar por tener que vivir reprimido, por no hacer lo que se desea, creo que todos en algún momento hemos sentido algo parecido.

There is a slogan created by the Flamenco fusion group, Pata Negra, which has to do with today's question: "Everything I like is illegal, immoral or fattening". In this sentence there is a certain regret, a certain discomfort for having to live repressed, for not doing what you want, I think we have all felt something similar at some point.

En este preciso momento me encantaría poder caminar libremente por las calles, sin pensar que puedo contaminarme con el covid-19. Pero lo responsable es tomar las medidas necesarias para protegerse y proteger a los demás, aunque más de uno se haga el desentendido con este tema. Ahí vemos el problema de las decisiones personales, de la libertad y de la responsabilidad.

At this very moment I would love to be able to walk freely through the streets, without thinking that I can contaminate myself with covid-19. But the responsible thing to do is to take the necessary measures to protect oneself and others, even if more than one of us may be oblivious to the issue. This is where we see the problem of personal decisions, freedom and responsibility.

Otra cosa que me gustaría hacer sería comer chocolate sin límites, todo el que mi cuerpo quisiera, hasta lograr una saciedad plena. Pero no lo puedo hacer, el chocolate me produce bastante alergia y cada vez que lo como tengo que sufrir esas consecuencias. No obstante esa limitación, no dejo de consumirlo.

Another thing I would like to do would be to eat chocolate without limits, as much as my body wants, until full satiety is achieved. But I can't do it, chocolate makes me quite allergic and every time I eat it I have to suffer the consequences. Despite this limitation, I do not stop consuming it.

Muchas veces extraño mayor tiempo para el ocio, sencillamente estar sin hacer nada, dedicado a la contemplación y meditación. Pero el ritmo de vida moderno impone la realización de muchas actividades, algunas realmente imprescindibles y necesarias para vivir. La vagancia es un lujo que no todos se pueden dar.

Many times I miss more time for leisure, simply to be doing nothing, dedicated to contemplation and meditation. But the pace of modern life imposes the realization of many activities, some really essential and necessary to live. Vagrancy is a luxury that not everyone can afford.

Siempre me imaginé cómo sería dar la vuelta al mundo en bicicleta, sin que haya cansancio, ni dolores musculares, ni estar pendiente de problemas ambientales de insolación o frío, ni problemas con pasaportes, autoridades, malvivientes o logística. Solo pedalear y pedalear…

I always imagined what it would be like to go around the world on a bicycle, without being tired, without muscular pains, without being aware of environmental problems of sunstroke or cold, without problems with passports, authorities, bad guys or logistics. Just pedaling and pedaling...

Hay un asunto relacionado con la vida de mi país, en una dictadura como la que tenemos hay serias restricciones a la libertad de pensamiento y a la posibilidad de reclamar cuando los derechos se consideran vulnerados. El resultado de atreverse a manifestar puede ser la cárcel o hasta la muerte. Así que en verdad me gustaría poder manifestar mi malestar como lo hacen las personas que viven en sociedades libres.

There is an issue related to the life of my country, in a dictatorship like the one we have there are serious restrictions to freedom of thought and the possibility of claiming when rights are considered violated. The result of daring to demonstrate can be jail or even death. So I would really like to be able to express my discomfort as people who live in free societies do.
