Midnight Sun in the Scandes

Such a surreal experience hiking in the arctic with 24 hours of daylight. Midnight sun over Sälka (1865m or 6119 ft) in the Scandinavian Mountains (Scandes) in Swedish Lapland. Taken at 67” North within the Arctic Circle. Sweden

What is the closest to the poles you have even been ? 67" North is the closest for me. Keen to push that a bit further in the next 10 years.

24hr daylight is a thing I have experienced yet but I can imagine it would be very bizarre.

Probably much safer from vampires this way but probably not the best for sleeping? XD

I haven't been anywhere near either pole that's worth mentioning and while I'm kinda curious I also know I will freeze to death the second I step one foot out the polar side of the temperate zones x_x

I already freeze in the temperate zones ^_^;

Yes I guess the vampires struggle in summer up there. Although the mosquitos suck enough blood to make up for them .
