Objective:

Stay alive and recover the Covid-19 vaccine antidote so you can (hopefully) become human again.
In this game, you must figure out how to open the safe... again!

Players can see a spreadsheet with their inventory and health here:

ctrl + L-click OR R-click and choose to open in a new tab (these are the ONLY solutions I found for opening a new tab/window).
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1k5jXGMU9CF-9V3ZCz2YHGP7aswEiTizxfu4SBy-s2vI/edit?usp=sharing (make sure you are on the ZOMBIES tab).

The Rules of this game can be found here:

on Steem
on Hive

Prizes:

Everyone who plays gets daily up-votes on their comments. The reward is much bigger on Steem. (Delegating SP will increase the vote value).
Survivors can also 3D-print their own "survival" token using this link.
And
Survivors may claim their buttons by copying and pasting the following code and proudly display them on their pages:
![SurvivedButton2.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTam1MrwcbLssSvPykpvUNYVY4aJKfhE2pQnTMwQRzzSh/SurvivedButton2.png)

![SteemButton2.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTwsQMxDVZgNMfniXk5Dme1ZnoAwAWjyirsgVcp3qSyeD/SteemButton2.png)

Tagging players (@improv, @simplegame, @holybread, @bashadow, @pbock, @dksart, @badpupper, @stever82, @justatouchfey, @aussieninja, @hhayweaver, @jfang003 and @secret-art) so you know a new post has been made. You can post to either or both chains but my V.P. is considerably larger on Steem.

Additional twist:

Before each player takes their daily turn, roll a D20 to see if you get any bonus. **Please note** that the bonus must be used during the CURRENT TURN. If you do not specify to which action you wish to apply the bonus, it will be applied to your first action where applicable.

Scraps of paper picked up:

Police turn after the players made their moves:

  • The trainee moves E, N, N.
  • Rolls for spawning zones are 4,1 so a trainee and nothing spawn.

Conclusion:

After what seemed like days of battling the police again, our vaccinated players wake up from a delirious sleep.
It would seem that this entire Déjà vu was simply the mind trying to cope with having been turned into a zombie and then back to human.
The body needed rest in order to deal with the transformation and heal itself. While the body slept, the mind tried to make sense of it all by replaying the horrific events that lead to the death of so many police in the pursuit of self-preservation.
Luckily, the antidote worked and our heroes can once again battle against the zombie hoard, but now with an intimate appreciation for what it is like to be a zombie.

Reminder:

Officer-in-training (T) will carry a baton (bat) = walker.
Rookie officers (R) will carry a pistol = runner.
Sergeants (S) will carry rifles = hulk.
ALL police get 3 actions per turn and can take 3 damage before they die (6 bare-handed hits).
Players re-spawn but lose their items when they die.

Please use my online tool for determining actions.

  • There is no need to roll twice for searches because the search function already has the roll for finding an item or finding a zombie built into it, so when searching, simply input the number of torches you have (default is zero, so if you have none, you need not enter anything) and click SEARCH to see what you found.
  • If you have a "double damage" that you wish to use with a search, you can add a torch to double the take.

NOTE:
You can also download an HTML file to run your own random number generator,
or get the revised, but more specific (thus less adaptable) version.

You may wish to use the template below (copy, paste, edit).

Escape from prison as zombies break in might be a fun continuation of the storyline.

Thoughts from anyone else?

That sounds like fun! Can you elaborate on the idea?

It is truly a pleasure having such dedicated and involved participants. Almost every day I'm rewarded with a comment that moves me in one way or another. I feel truly blessed to know such wonderful people. Thank-you for being a part of my life! !ENGAGE 20, !BEER, !LUV.

The basic idea is that we get arrested due to the zombie shenanigans, thrown in prison, and a zombie attack on the prison causes a three way fight between the zombies, the cops, and us.

It might be fun, does anyone else have scenario ideas?

Oh wow! That would be interesting to have both cops and zombies.

Thank you so much for hosting us @happyme - this was a thrill as always. I have to say that the enemies having 3 turns and the potential to kill a player in a single turn really changed up the strategy for me. I'm usually running in shotgun blazing but I really had to think about my moves. Super interesting!

Will I ever stop loving braaaiiinnnnssss? Only time will tell!

I figured it was time to change things around a bit and put the enemies on an equal footing. I'm actually surprised how well it turned out.

Thanks for hosting. I confess, I have a lot of fun being a monster. Since, after all, aren't we the real monsters? (oooooooo)

I wouldn't say we are all monsters, but there definitely are some real monsters out there who wouldn't hesitate to cause global harm if it can make them a buck.

It's true, I don't REALLY think we're monsters. Mostly, we're great. But the ones who are monsters hold disproportionate amounts of power.

I wonder: Is it the power that makes them a monster, or do they accumulate power because they ARE a monster?

I mean, I think a lot of these people were born into power, so there's not an easy way to distinguish cause and effect. But yes, I think our system incentivizes monstrous behavior, so those willing to behave like monsters will gather power. And I think that never having to concern yourself with the problems of ordinary people means you lack empathy, and that makes you a monster.

That makes sense... I'll buy that.

I think that having a story-line and comments from the players as they imagine themselves within the game really ads a lot to the enjoyment of playing the game. I wondered about what would happen in this game and why we did a replay (besides just trying to see if we could alter the outcome using different strategy). By the way; I think we were still not coordinated enough to make it work as expected and the cops got the upper hand for a while like in the first game. Of course, with random dice rolls, the outcome can never be predicted, no matter what the strategy is because the dice always determine the results. I guess it is the challenge of the unknown that adds a bit of excitement.

Thanks for hosting these games. I really enjoy playing them.

Action 1: Move North
Action 2: Move West
Action 3: Move West

Oh how fickle the gods of the die can be. no dangers in site, nothing to take a whack at with my bat, as I stumble into the safety of the safe zone. A trick of a weakened mind, Did I ever really leave the safe zone? Was it all really a dream? My mind feels broken, as if it was transferred back in time into a zombie. That I lived their un-dead state of being.

It felt so real. I feel like having some !PIZZA but am unsure if I can ever enjoy it again, I still feel the taste of rotten cardboard in my mouth even though it was just a dream. The !BEER was it really beer? What was it I was drinking in my dream state? Was it rain water or blood from blood soaked rags squeezed to get the blood juice? I don't know if I will ever be able to stomach another red beer in my life. I have the same feel for yellow beer, just what was it I was drinking in my dreams.

It felt so so real when I would !ENGAGE 20 the police with my bat, the feel of power behind my swings the sudden loud sound of a good solid whack against a head. All a dream? How long will it take for the dream to fade? Will it fade in time, I do not know, but my life and the life of my compatriots goes on. We live another day as humans, have we changed? I know that I have changed, will it be for the good or the bad only time will tell.

I enjoy my daily zombie experience, it is fun, kind of like when I was a kid and the newspaper came to the door we would all grab the funny page and read Peanuts to see what antics Snoopy was up to or if Lucy was in, or if the football got pulled out from under Charlie Brown as he was about to kick it.

It is fun having a daily thing to look forward to. Some days I am just more awake and thinking than other days.
