Tiny and beautiful wild sunflowers - Aspilia mossambicensis [EN] // Diminutos y Hermosos Girasoles Silvestres - Aspilia mossambicensis [ES]

These beautiful wild sunflowers are found these days all over the countryside, they grow like weeds and the truth is that with how abandoned the fields are this year, they give a colorful view to the landscape, however, I don't even want to think about the work that will give them to eradicate it when they decide to restart the sowing, because this plant is invasive and considered a weed, since it has the capacity to cover everything that is born and not allow its normal development.

In the countryside, they simply call it a yellow flower, for obvious reasons, and the truth is that it is the headache of the farmers, it is that its root is so strong that even when it is burned and the land receives water again it is reborn from the ashes like a phoenix.

The truth is that I love them because I am a hardened lover of flowers, and although they are tiny like these wild sunflowers, I find them beautiful. They are capable of giving life and color to any gray landscape.

This plant is native to the African continent whose scientific name is Aspilia mossambicensis, and although it is said to have medicinal properties, little information is found about it, it is known in my area, that this plant is used to control pain caused by the menstrual period in women.

And as I've been doing these days, I've started to play a little with the selective coloring in these images, this time I used the black and white option, light because I think it looks much better than the dark option, I love how it highlights the beautiful and striking yellow color, as well as letting you see better the different forms of these tiny but beautiful flowers.
