Let Your Light Shine Before Men
Mathew 5:15; Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a lampstand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
The Word says we as Christians and disciples of Christ, we who proclaim of the Gospel are the Light of the Word and so it is important we let our light shine. But the question is what really is this light.
The light simple talks about what the Lord has put in us, what we have been made to have and witnessed as Christians, as people who have been saved and emancipated from sin and the world.
We know the truth now, we know the right path now, we know right from wrong now, so we are supposed to let this reflect in our actions, in our thoughts and deeds by so doing we let our light shine before men for them to learn from it.
Not only does it talk about character but also the spiritual giftings of the Holy Spirit and the talents we were born with. We should maximize them for the edification of the church and glorification of God. This is also another form of letting our light shine before men.
So, do not hide what the Lord has kept in you, let it out, do not use your talent only at home, let it out in church and witness the manifestation of God's Blessing upon your life.
