This is my mom's old car and this cat is using it to relax in the shade.

This cat is actually one of the feral cats that my mom feeds. Well, this cat sure does look well fed.

I was at my mom's yesterday as I took this picture of this cat. I usually go to my mom's on Fridays to eat lunch, then to mow the front and back lawns.

All the feral cats run when they hear the lawnmower. The lawnmower I use to mow my mom's lawn is an old lawn mower. Yes my lawnmower is over 42 years old now and is still running well, well for an old lawnmower that is.

Well it was a hot day when mowing that lawn. So know wonder why that cat wants to relax in the shade. I got so hot I went to the garden hose to wash my face a few times. Well, that can be refreshing.

So lets get back to the cat. Cats seem to like to get to the high places. Well, I guess that is good as they can spot things a lot better, like a dog.

Even my own cat likes to climb on trees, but she is also know to lie down on the roof of my 91 Chevy S10, my pickup.

That is how I brought my lawnmower to mom's house with my old pickup. Having a pickup comes in handy at times.

Well, it is hot now, but I am also looking ahead to when it gets cold. Having a pickup is good for picking up wood that others don't want. Some people cut down a tree, but can't use it for firewood as they do not have a fireplace.

To me I think all houses should have a fireplace, well it would be good to burn firewood for the warmth.

So yes, I search the Craigslist free ads to see if anyone wants to give away their fire wood. Then I'll go and pick it up.

Another good thing about having a pickup is that you can take it to the dump. Yes, my brother has all kinds of stuff that we will have to throw away and the best way to get rid of it, is to bring it to the dumps.

So the cat is relaxing in the shade. It sounds like a good thing to do for now.

Let's end with some scripture, as it is written, The LORD thy keeper: the LORD thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. Psalm 121:5-6.
