Greetings wonderful Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!

It's the weekend — yay — and we all know what that means: We've arrived at CATURDAY, my favorite day of the week! It's time to celebrate cats everywhere!

And, in case you weren't already aware, we cats have our own Caturday Community here on Hive... so join up, if you haven't already!

Time Flies on By...

As I look out the window, there is no doubt that spring has arrived. Seems like just a few weeks ago I was looking out at a blanket of snow!

Now? Now we only have a few more days left of the 1st Quarter of 2021.

The Hoomans are starting to get fired up about their homesteading and gardening for the year... we are quickly approaching the "last freeze date" for the winter, after which they'll really start their work outside.

We grow a lot of our own food, around here.

I've been hinting that they need to grow some catnip this year! I think it's working... I spotted catnip seed in the gardening box, the other week!

Nature is waking up! I see bunnies!

Changes and News: So Far, so Good!

Interestingly enough, it seems like our Hive community is off to a running start in 2021!

As I look around, a lot more people and communities seem to be more active and engaged... and less disgruntled and stressed out... than I can remember in a long time! Of course the rising price of the Hive token doesn't hurt...

A lot of eyes — including my own — are on the LeoFinance Community and all the developments they are releasing.

Most recently, the have given the world CUB DeFi and I can't help but think that this constant stream of new features will be good not only for their community, but for Hive, in the broader sense!

They certainly serve as a great example of what CAN be done with a niche community based around Hive!

I'd like to think I had some idea of what the 2nd quarter will bring us all, but unfortunately my crystal ball is cracked.

However, I would like to think that it involves lots of cat friendly sunny spots!

We cats aren't that great at making plans, anyway, because... OH SHINY!

So I'm just going to plod along as best I can... and if I come across a good idea, I'll take it!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
