That's a great bike! I wouldn't worry about the paint, all the scraches here and there will add up to the bike's character.

I'm running a similar setup on my Sonder and the one thing I'm loving about having 1 chain ring is the ability to clean the chain a lot easier than my previous 3x setup. On the 3x mud and all sorts of dirt would clog into the rings making a complete mess, not I solved that.

I'm also running a rack and a combination of bags and panniers on the back; the rack is my weak point, already snaped a weld while cycling some terrible roads.
