Walking Green Areas of Bangkok.
Visiting green areas in big cites has always been a fascination to me because each park in every city has it's own characteristics and beauty and the parks that i have had the opportunity to visit in the big city of Bangkok i have never been disappointed by far Bangkok has many enjoyable green spaces for your leisure.
"CHATUCHAK PARK - BANGKOK CITY"
Chatuchak Park is one park within the heart of the city that is very accessible park by Skytrain which will drop you of at Mochit station or MRT underground train which will drop you of at Chatuchak station both these means of train transport will drop you of at the front gate of this magnificent park.
Chatuchak Park is a another pleasant green area with a loop around the park is about 3.5 km great for jogging up and around a few lovely bridges with a huge man made lake the park has beautifully manicured botanical gardens and there is even a outdoor gym equipment in Chatuchak Park.
Chatuchak Park is actually right next door to the famous Chatuchak markets so when your done with your shopping you can always pop into the park sit and relax or have a walk around catching a bit of fresh air and observing some nature and the lovely Butterflies , Birds and Squirrels that live in the park.
Along side and opposite Chatuchak Park you also have Queen Sirkit Park and Rot Fai Park when they have bicycle paths were as Chatuchak park has not got bicycle paths these are another two huge green areas where you can see many beautiful types of Lotus and Lily ponds very colorful parks where in full bloom.
"QUEEN SIRKIT and ROT FAI PARK in BANGKOK CITY"
Now going back over to the other side of the city we have Lumpini Park which is the second biggest park in Bangkok covering a area of 142 acres which lots of green space , beautiful botanical gardens , jogging paths , bicycle paths and also a huge man made lake to paddle small boats around.
"LUMPINI PARK"
Over to Rama IX Park now which is the biggest park in Bangkok coving 200 acres of amazing green space this park was built to celebrate King Bhumibol Adulyadej's on his 60th birthday in 1987. This is my favorite park to walk around it has so much to offer there are botinacal gardens built here from many countries like Japanese , English , French gardens and many more.
"Rama IX Park"
Because this park is a little bit more out from the Bangkok city center it is surprisingly free of tourists and offers a genuine experience of how locals spend their afternoons the admission cost to enter this park is 10 baht ( 30c US ) most people are in this park in the morning and afternoons for exercise and you get local Thai families and young couples coming down just to laze around and enjoy the sunset.
The building with a golden spire that looks like looks something from the episodes of Star Trek is the art gallery and museum displaying the life of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej very interesting to see. Many wedding photographers use this park because of it's beauty. One park definitely worth visiting if your ever in Bangkok city it is really breathtaking to see this park.

I love the green spaces in Bangkok! Who knew you could have so much beauty in the middle of chaos? Okay, not chaos, but, oh, so busy!!!
The running track, the flowers, the melodic charm from the sound of the water, the beautiful fountains. The government there surely knows how to make life more pleasant for people! You are one of the smart ones that see the advantage of using all that is given to you, freely to make a better way of living your life. I like to take advantage of those things too. They are there to enhance your experience of life. It becomes wasted if not used.
The botanical gardens are amazing!! and I especially love the rock gardens with the (what looks to be creeping phlox) but could be anything. It is all just beautiful!
I love that black and grey squirrel! Sweet!!! You really brought me down to a peaceful zen kind of feel. Thank you, my lovely friend. Always. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday!
